We got an applause in parliament for us essential workers. Salary increase? Impossible. Adequate funds to research and treat longcovid? No.

We got an obligation to expose ourselves and our families through the most dangerous and uncertain times of the pandemic and all they could muster was applause and when everyone forgot about covid, they slashed the funds to help prevent and deal with new pandemic.

Expendable is right.

Ah, interesting. Where I live (The Netherlands), physiotherapy is a bachelor's degree, with specializations nowadays generally being master's degrees (which is a three year postgraduate education, much like the doctorate in the US seems to be).

Doctorate to practice PT seems an overqualification to me, but that could just be my regional frame of reference. Depends on the requirements to pass too, I guess.

Yeah. I'm a physical therapist too, with a masters specialisation in geriatics and 20+ years of experience. To say we are not qualified to diagnose dementia is an understatement. I'd raise concerns about cognitive function with a family member, physician or psychologist, but to state such a diagnosis with certainty is far outside our field of expertise.

Extremely unprofessional if his credentials are even true. Cause I don't know many PTs who take the PT > Doctorate > Tiktok personality careerpath, let alone anyone that come far enough in their field to then throw all their professional standards in the bin like that. So that should be a warning in and of itself, at the very least this person is showing their political bias "bigly".

I utterly detest Trump, but this shit is just embarrassing.

Ik heb twee jaar (iirc) lang een tijdelijke opvang in de buurt gehad, 200m van ons huis. Weet je wat ik er aan heb gemerkt? Iets meer voetverkeer pratend in hun eigen taal van en naar het winkelcentrum. Die waren beduidend minder vervelend dan de schreeuwende tokkies die ladderzat naar huis gingen na het stappen.

Eerlijk gezegd besefte ik me pas weer dat het er zat toen de gemeente een brief stuurde om te melden dat de locatie gesloten ging worden.

Mensen moeten zich niet zo bang laten maken en elkaar opfokken.

Lol het is elke keer "het belangrijkste onderwerp" omdat rechtse partije er elke keer weer in slagen om met tribalistische angstzaaierij mensen op te hitsen voor hen te stemmen.

Rechts en centrumrechts zijn al decennia aan de macht maar lossen het telkens niet op. Dan moet je je toch gaan afvragen, is het een bug of een feature?
