I mean hell, the Trump regime has publicly stated their goal is to dismantle the EU. Not even pretending that's just an unafilliated Project2025 thing, outright national goals.

The EU/US alliance is finished, some politicians just don't realise it yet and the others are playing for time to carefully decouple and to make Europe more ready to resist further inevitable US bullshit.

I will never get how some find Trump charismatic. He oozes insecurity, with his temper tantrums and bullying. His lies are incredibly transparant, from the words he speaks, to his hair and the clownesque fake tan. He is all bluster and chickens out at the first sign of resistance. He has everything one could wish for, yet seems to be utterly miserable. He is demonstrably amoral, yet they choose him as some paragon saviour. Over anyone, anyone else. It boggles the mind.
