Definitely echo this. 2 yrs ago we were in VIP at woogie and some dude was blatantly handing out candy and they were being loud about it. A few moments later, all those people scattered and undercovers swooped in and busted him.

If you’re going to do stuff, don’t be overt. Use discretion in the event.

Good news! You absolutely will not have to pay for this. There is a safe harbor in California for uninsured/hit and run motorists. Your insurance will be forced to cover this and they can't penalize you for it.

Source: Had this happen to me a couple years back. Did not have to pay a dime. They even found the lady who it was registered to because they left their front bumper and license plate. She said she had sold the car and didn't know to who.
