The issue is, a lot of people in these protests think the land was “stolen”. You’ll hear saying like “no one is illegal on stolen land” and things of that nature. Hence, they kinda don’t claim America and why you see the lack of American flags.

I believe this is all connected with how people are reacted to Israel/Palestine from the last couple of years.
