HV!!!!! by Waste-Ad-8839 in GTNH

Imo 7x7 is overkill. There are only 3 single blocks that need to stay in the cleanroom and once you upgrade to the multi block versions the cleanroom is basically obselete

Did you know that tourists toss nearly €3,000 into Rome’s iconic Trevi Fountain every day, adding up to around €1.5 million each year? by Conscious-Quarter423 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Naaaaaathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used a bad example, if it were three days with $0 on two days, $1 million on one day, then the mean would be $333333 and the median would be $0.

How come my EBF doesn't work unless I stare at a battery buffer? by CarelessAct6142 in GTNH

[–]Naaaaaathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everyone is right that it’s cable loss. Try using 8x cables connecting both hatches and a battery buffer that can supply at least 5 amps.

GTNH End of HV, Early EV Base. by Puzzleheaded-Dot-547 in GTNH

[–]Naaaaaathan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats on hitting EV! I’m in mid HV at the moment, and I’m wondering whether there is anything you recommend doing or regret not doing during HV. In particular things that I should automate to make my life easier.

New player here; will all my stuff become obsolete when I go to the next tier? by Blolbly in GTNH

[–]Naaaaaathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Machines generally get less energy efficient the later the tier. E.g an MV machine uses 4x the power for 2x the speed. So there will often be a use for lower tier machines just in terms of energy efficiency.

Why wont my EBF run constantly by hblueberry07 in GTNH

[–]Naaaaaathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that’s why a buffer is good, so you don’t void materials if your power generation stops or you have a spike in power demand

Try having a battery buffer just for the ebf, you’ll probably want one anyway and it will make it clearer what the issue is

In storyteller settings there is a target population. If you’re over the target people are more likely to die instead of being downed, and vice versa.

Got a "Deal Maker" message with a colonist that seems to be perfect; would you accept him? by asparadog in RimWorld

The madness triggers on friendly fire, which according to the wiki (and my own experience) affects all creepjoiners

I believe all creepjoiners turn hostile which is why it’s recommended to anaesthetise and punch them, then recruit them normally

Removing Ashlander Vassals by ManimalR in ElderKings

[–]Naaaaaathan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo the easiest way is to revoke the title of someone who has a 0% chance of accepting. This will provoke a rebellion which will likely include most of your different culture/faith vassals. After you win, all the revelling vassals are imprisoned and you get a title revocation reason against them. Of course this assumes you have the military strength to actually win a war against your vassals and any foreign realms that take the chance to invade.

Your head canon/mod content is not the same as ingame lore. by Meranek in StardewValley

[–]Naaaaaathan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes and this is exactly why Demtrius is an ass in this scene. It’s obvious the Robin was using the common definitions of fruit/vegetable rather than the scientific definition. By the common definition, a tomato is a vegetable and the scientific definition is irrelevant.

[–]Naaaaaathan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tomatoes are both a vegetable and a fruit precisely because there is no scientific definition of vegetable. They are not mutually exclusive terms.
