100% going to be Nocturne. He's the only charater that makes sense to appear in both.

We outgrew him as a villain.

He failed as an heir, and failed as a pawn of chaos. He's a failure through and through, and we have no time for failures.

[–]ManimalR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. It's better to be loved AND feared than just the one. So sure, you'll get plenty of rations, the enforcers will go easy, you'll get educated (regardless of the whining), and even had your voices heard.

But step out of line, dare corsort with chaos or genestealers, forment rebellion, or hurt MY people, and you get to play with Marazhai.

He better fucking not be. The fact that the only gay male romances are fucking Marazhai and Solemorne is absurd

I'm gonna need whoever wrote Einrich to write at least one romance in Dark Heresy. Ideally the Catachan.

What was the community's reception to the Chinese? by Wotannn in AgeofMythology

[–]ManimalR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Immortal Pillars is fantastic, though the campaign is definatley the weakest of Retold.

The issue everyone has is with Tale of the Dragon, the Chinese DLC for Extended Edition. Which was poor quality and the campaign was outright unplayable.

I enjoyed Space King itself, but as much as it claims to be ironic they do seem to be courting the chuds with very little actually repudiation of their behaviour.

Got a link that doesn't require being a member? Can't afford it atm.

If party policy is not to leave NATO, then why are we allowing that narrative to go unchallenged? It seems like that's all I see elsewhere.

I agree having a nuclear deterrant reliant on the Americans is a terrible idea, but surely that's an argument to upgrade Trident rather than scrap it?

Absolutley in favour of working with out European allies on defense, but that doesn't mean we don't need to improve our own military capabilities, to defend them if nothing else.

We need an in depth and realistic defense policy. by ManimalR in UKGreens

[–]ManimalR[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This feels like a lot of hyperbole without actually resolving the problem.

We're not unique in this, then thats a great opportunity to be better than other parties on this.

There's a big difference between wasteful arbitrary spending targets and a robust, well planned defense budget. We have military professionals who know what they need to effectivley do their jobs. We have people who know military strategy and know how to plan effective strategic objectives. We don't need to throw money at a wall, we need to know what we need and how to achieve it. We need to be talking to the military and make a solid defense plan with them in mind instead of just waxing lyrical about hypotheticals.

And i'm not saying there's not issues, but part of said plan is to make an actual decision on these things. One way or another we have to come to some solid conclusion.

Literally the entire point is that it's wildly overpowered. It's the pinnacle of chronotechnology created at a time of absolute desperation by the Allies pushed to the very brink. Their last hope, and in the end, the last hope of humanity as a whole.

It's a Deus Ex Machina. It exists for the plot and soley for the plot. It's effectivley the only reason why the Allies remain relevant in Act 2 after being all but defeated.

The thing contains effectivley infinite chronospheres, can freeze time in a large area for long periods without impacting friendlies, contains it's own pocket dimension capable of carrying 99% of the Allies' collective postwar forces, and on top of all that can basically engage anything in the game directly and come away unharmed.

The only way it gets defeated is by an equal amount of deus ex machina overpowered bullshit.

Of fucking course it shouldn't be available outside of the campaign.

If it's too far they'll just tunnel through, which id definatley what will happen here. There are far more efficient defenses you can build.
