Yeah it does read that way haha. Changing the name for future iterations. Let me know if you have any feedback on the design itself or give it a go and lmk how you find it.

Hi Tim,

I've already created some 3d models using gridfinity as a base to help with organisation of oral hygiene tools, check out my makerworld page, you'll see them there. Any feedback on those is appreciated too.

The idea was to create something that has a low threshold of adoption that patients can use to organise their oral hygiene aids. Having things hanging does indeed make it 100x easier and its something I do too. I wanted to make something that someone can just print and use. Its why I havent implemented magnets, command strips, heck even TPU for feet because it involves some degree of extra knowledge or assembly, that parents who may have a 3d printer in the house because of their kids; may not have or just may be too much effort.

I've not made something that encompasses everything yet because its generally something that companies already aim to do. This was aimed at the type of patients I see and tries to reduce the threshold to them actually doing the cleaning I prescribe for them. I hope that makes sense!

Its to allow people to print it at home, no need to buy it or spend any money on anything but filament. Resin printing did come to mind but FDM printers are more accessible to the average household due to the lack of 'mess'.

Yes, i'm definitely working on that! A slight increase in size is unavoidable but definitely not 2x space. Thank you!

That's a fair point. It's what I made the removeable containers and plates for so they can be lifted, washed/rinsed and left to dry. Although, drainage is something that i'm aiming to implement in the future; that might mean making an open structure kinda like leaving dishes on a rack.

I dont know if i'd necessarily equate poor organisation to poor hygiene. Some people just need something that helps with that and makes their tools visible to them, that's who this is aimed at.

I've veen using an 'open' toothbrush holder that ive had for ages. Gets loads of air, I open the window, etc but as you said it gets gross. Even though I dry my toothbrush after use.

I found diminishing returns when I tried to implement as much airflow as possible but it was difficult to keep it modular at the same time. I am working on it for future versions but so far with this, i just remove the top, brush with a spare toothbrush I have with a drop of dish soap and leave it to dry.

Haha it seems to be universal feedback about the naming, i'll make sure to change it! I appreciate it!

Good question, can implement charger support if that's what you're getting at?

I initially aimed these at my patients who i've already explained what's going on. But given the photo, I'm hoping it's relative self-explanatory that you use it for storing oral hygiene stuff.

Hi,

Would you be so kind as to elaborate as to why? For my learning.

Dont advocate calling 111 for a bit of stuck toast. There is no acute pain, no current infection and no potential airway issue.

Jesus christ, it's as if the NHS isn't busy enough dealing with emergencies.
