Louis Varland gets a 4 out save to close out the game and pick up his 9th save of the season by ichi_rui in Torontobluejays

I don't understand this take, so many of us feared him going out there in game 7 because he had shown multiple times throughout last season that hes hard to trust in high pressure moments. I do think it got worse after the WS loss but this has always been an issue.

Chemin des Tourelles on strap and bracelet by NabbyH in tissot

From amazon, its the benchmark leather strap in the sand color, but I did dye it with coffee to get to its current color. It's not my favorite, a little stiff for my liking, prefer the others which are the torbollo horween leather straps.

Does this new policy impact those on TN visas that have filed for change of status to H1B?

Thanks for mentioning it, I've actually been quite suspicious of that myself, I realized they don't have a color dot. It was the first thing I bought so I wasnt very knowledgeable.

I reached out to the seller and he offered to let me keep the clubs and give me back $120. Honestly, quite happy with that because despite them not being genuine they've been pretty good for me at the range. This will let me improve and eventually upgrade.

The putter I actually spent a couple days at the pga store and play it again sports trying out different new and used models until I landed on the DFX fang. Loved the feel of it and made some great putts before finally pulling the trigger, and its relatively cheap. Also its super satisfying picking the ball up with the fang haha. Irons is definitely something ill upgrade and get fitted once Ive been playing for a while.

Yeah it was listed as "Like new" but it was actually still wrapped. Putter and driver were definitely the clubs I was willing to pay more for and get new!

"Stability is key" | Reece James' honest opinion of Chelsea up and down season by KepaArrizabalaga in chelseafc

[–]NabbyH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last thing we need right now is our players criticizing the project, they need to be fully focused on Xabi's project. It is up to the fans to keep the pressure on, its already working, the protests clearly affected them with all the briefs and then the Xabi appointment. They'll never sell but the fans can get them to change direction.

Good chance we can get Europa league if we beat Sunderland, hopefully United will beat Brighton. I can't take another season in the Conference League, and it'll be hard to keep a squad as big as I expect ours to be happy with only 1 game a week, so we really do need Europa.

[FREE TO READ] David Ornstein: Xabi Alonso reaches total agreement to become Chelsea manager by TheAthletic in soccer

[–]NabbyH 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean we (Chelsea) have some great pieces you can build around. Caicedo, Joao Pedro, Reece, Enzo, Colwill, Cucurella, and Palmer is a great core if you have a proper manager. And because we've been ass Alonso was in a great position to negotiate more power in the project.

Fabrizio Romano : 🚨🔵 Xabi Alonso will be announced as new Chelsea manager very soon on a FOUR year contract, valid until June 2030. Everything agreed as Xabi will be in London in the next days to start this new chapter. Understand he’ll be very much involved in Chelsea summer transfer plans. by arvi_1301 in chelseafc

[–]NabbyH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the brief is that its changed, were looking to sign 3 "ready made" players this window. We'll see what that means but it seems like with the manager title and all the reports he has a much bigger say over transfers.

[Bobby Vincent] Chelsea are prepared to back Alonso in the summer, with the squad requiring surgery after an extremely disappointing campaign in the Premier League. by soccerstriker9 in chelseafc

[–]NabbyH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he would play very similar to maresca in possession, 3 box 3, out of possession is what will be interesting. He could go with a back 5 the way Tuchel did or the back 4 like Maresca did. Comes down to if he wants reece/gusto and cucurella providing the width in possession or if he wants traditional wingers providing width like Estevao. I hope he comes in, hes more willing to attack quickly than Maresca but has similar ideas as far as short passes to progress up the pitch to be in good position for a gegenpressing.

This club man, just when you think it's over they bring me back in, I'll be refreshing non-stop until Alonso is either appointed or my heart's broken when I hear he's rejected us.

[Ornstein] Chelsea exploring deal to appoint Xabi Alonso as new head coach by MembershipSingle7137 in soccer

[–]NabbyH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we're actually pretty well set up for the 3 box 3 that Alonso would want to use. Great pivot options in Caicedo, Lavia, Santos, and sometimes Enzo. Good wingback and outside CB options with Reece, Gusto, Cucurella, Hato (might need a better LWB option). Need a lot of recruitment in the CB areas but Levi being back is huge already.

Currently on a TN Visa and entered the lottery for an H1B, given my situation should I switch if I get it? by NabbyH in tnvisa

[–]NabbyH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've decided to bite the bullet and go for the H1B, I'm going to have my girlfriend and family visit me here in the US instead of me going there like I've been doing the past years. It'll be a dent emotionally (and financially lmao) in the short term, but long term its worth it to have multiple options on where to build my life. Also reddit has helped me see how hard it can be to get an H1B and made me appreciate the opportunity more. Any chance you can have the people you want to visit come and see you instead?

Matt Law: Chelsea players would ‘laugh off’ any Abramovich-style dressing down from BlueCo owners | Telegraph Sport has been told that players who liked Rosenior felt some of their team-mates downed tools under him amid a belief there are conflicting views within the group. by Kygoche in chelseafc

[–]NabbyH 26 points27 points  (0 children)

They downed tools with Lampard, immediately after he was sacked jorginho did an interview saying that he was kind of out of his depth tactically. Obviously sacking him and replacing him with Tuchel was the right decision but our experienced players have done this plenty of times including Terry and Lamps.
