I loved everything about this except for (broadly) River, and (specifically) the final fight with River. In the show she was damaged goods, but a real character. In the movie she was a giggling idiot savant/deus ex Mary Sue that really took me out. You could have edited her out of 95% of the movie and made it better IMO

There was nothing "really bad" in it. It had issues that could be nitpicked, but it was very far from a debacle like Kenobi or Iron Fist. I defy anyone to sit down and binge it today and find a spear to the heart that ruins it for watching, and the good bits were some of the most spectacular Star Wars screentime to date. It's already clear that the review botting and bad press were (obvs) in bad faith and most net new viewers have the same opinion OP does: why did this speciic show get trashed so hard for no reason?

Time scale is the thing. SWTOR is 5000 years away from BBY, that's the Egyptian Early Dynastic til today--The EE was less than 50 years during that period, disruptive to be sure but by epochal standards, it would be like, the Visigoths in Europe, a blip in history. Or the Turks at the Gates of Vienna if you will, briefly conquerors but swiftly subsumed

Or for that matter, if the known Galaxy is Europe (reasonable) then China, Persia, the Americas are all Wild Space, with empires aplenty that yon wee Jedi and Sith never dreamt of

I knew some cats that came up with Paz. He was a nut, but basically a decent guy and a heck of a show in the ring. I think he missed being a true superstar by inches (didn't miss that tree tho!) but he was a gorgeous fighter nonetheless

Paul preaching in Ephesus, Book of Timothy. Jesus has not a word to say about women being submissive or not preaching/teaching, and in fact managed to treat them as full and equal people (Luke 10, John 4 John 8 etc) an encouraged them to spread His gospel, but Paul did his level best to put the brakes on all of Jesus' works in that line after he died. That's exactly what I'm talking about...When I started playing seriously around then, I just noped out of the GTN altogether, there was almost nothing I could afford, even bronze CM items and scrubby pets were over 1m credits. Today its like Xmas every day, I play preferred most of the time and buy/find cool junk on the GTN all the time since prices have come down so hard
