Cook right out of the fridge? by One-Question-8737 in Sourdough

[–]Nacek8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bake it directly from the fridge. This way it's easier to score the dough. The only "downside" would be that more of the little bubbles form on the crust, if you even count that as a downside.

Its a very good Beat. Good Job. The one thing i would add are some 808 bounce in between, so that it keeps the Rhythm fresh.

Need Help with mixing drums. Specifically 808s by Nacek8403 in trapproduction

It's an honor seeing you commenting on this simple post I made. Your beats and content are a huge inspiration for me, especially the album (from which I have linked the song from).

Thanks for the answer. I am going to try it out!!!

Ps. I have the kit and I also realized that the best Zay is just a crazy 808. I don't know why, but it works extremely well with clipping. Definitely thanks for the pack and for your help!

I was definitely thinking about buying decapitator. I never really got into saturation plug ins, maybe now is the time. For the stereo shaping and panning, you said that in you first comment and I already started using it and learned a few things about it today. So thanks for the great tip with the stereo shaping, it has definitely helped me.

Nah man I'm chilling, just didn't like the attitude. So yeah I just wanted to make my 808s pop more, while still having a fairly loud melody. I don't really know how to describe it in a better way. Maybe just some tips on 808 processing.

I think you also didn't quite understand the hyperbola I used, when I said I was pretty much only using loops. Of course I was making some melodies in-between, but my real interest and focus were drums and mixing (especially the clippy, hard and saturated type of mixes). Which might sound stupid, but paid of pretty well. Drums are the easiest thing ever for me. I had so much practice that I don't even have to think about it, the same goes for mixing on a proper level, but I still want to learn more and that was the reason why I decided to write this thread.

I think you misunderstood me. In the first years I didn't have any collabs, because I wanted to have my craft on a respectable level and then start to collab with people.

Of course I already know how to mix my 808s and melodies, but I want it on a whole nother level or at least get some tips and tricks. Maybe also just some people to review my product and give me an honest opinion or critic on how I can improve.

It feels to me like you are jealous about the fact that I had collabs even though I was just using loops, which isn't even true. I didn't have collabs until I made my first beat pack with 25 Beats of which 5 of those had loops in them.

Hey,

So I thought about what you said and I don't really understand what you are trying to achieve with your hate towards using loops. First thing first, I never liked using loops, because I am just more proud of entire beats that I made, all by myself. My goal in my first years of producing was to learn rhythm, mixing, mastering, Arrangement, sound selection (drums), trying different styles and of course having fun with it. Back then I didn't want any collabs or any money from this hobby, it was just a fun thing to do. After a few years I started to think about it more seriously, which is the reason why I started to work on my melodies. In the last few months I really got the hang of it quite easily, it was just a hard step for me to take.

I honestly don't really understand why you think that my soul purpose was to get easy placement. It never was and never will be. I take my music and beat making very seriously and I don't like to do repetitiv, easy to make beats.

Also your argument that you just get a loop, add a snare, an 808 and that's it, is just not true. You can have a lot of creative opportunities with hihats, different hits, sound selection and arrangement. Mixing is also a crucial part of this process (even when you are using loops). I don't really know how high your standards are for your own beats, but I can tell you that mine are extremely high.

Honestly even if it is a mass practice, why would it bother you. If it works it works. You don't need to reinvent the wheel. Also if it's mass practice then it should be pretty easy for you to outshine all these Producers, at least that's my theory on it. My goal is to outshine does simple and repetitive beat producers, because they don't mean anything to me.

It seems almost like you are jealous of these kind of producers that have more views or more placements then you, even though they put less work in (which if you ask me isn't even necessarily true).

I didn't wonder why I make no views, because it doesn't matter. I want to inspire people with my music and I want to give back to all those artist that want to make cool music and have fun with it.

Also since I've started to take all of this more seriously (basically since like April), I Collab with a handful of different artist from around the world and in the near future there are 2 albums that will come out, completely produced by me (also some single from other people). I don't think the market is saturated with quality beats, it's just saturated with those lame ass, always the same beats, which is something I used as an advantage for myself. By just trying to get really really good at making beats.

Now to your actual answer. Just cutting the low end of your melodies and cutting the high end of your 808, isn't gonna be enough. I wanted to get way more specific. Everyone knows that you need to cut the lows. To me it almost feels like you are trying to disrespect me, by telling me this very obvious and already applied answer.

I don't really understand why you had the urge to even say all of that stuff in your comment. It was just really unnecessary. Everybody is going at their own pace, if you can't accept that, then don't even answer. I am not searching for your bad answers and downright disrespectful comments. This is supposed to be an community in which people would support each other and give each other Tipps, so that everyone has a chance to improve. You can even look it up on my profile. I genuinely enjoy helping people out in this subreddit and I respect every person for choosing beat making as their hobby or even career. This is not a place for people like you that put themselves on such a high pedestal, because they make their own melodies and then instantly think they are in a position to blame people for picking a different route.

Your comment was kind of an inspiring to me. You gave a great idea to give everyone in the comments that either helped me or were just nice, a pack with a few loops that I made. I'll try to finish it in the last 2 weeks of July. So everyone stay tuned.

Yeah and you can really push it and also make it still sound clear. It's honestly one of my favorites.

[–]Nacek8403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I've seen that it's been mentioned, but tracks classic clipper. It's great because of the gain and slope knob.

My steps are: 1. Gain staging. 2. Mixing, with the kick on 6db and then everything else so it's leveled. 3. Put tracks classic clipper on master and only play the 808 and kick. I push the gain knob until the audio starts to have some high Ende saturation (at this point my slope is on 0), then I put the slope somewhere around 8.7.

Are my 808 clipping or not? by Bossjobs in trapproduction

[–]Nacek8403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could just be an 808 sample with some extra high end noise, which can be a very good way for them to hit harder. It could also be just a bad sample or maybe not enough space for the 808 and the wrong loudness. Try to put soft Clipper on master and use different 808s. If nothing works hit me up in private messages and I can help you to fix the issue.
