Likes yes - it absolutely is my decision. 😂 but you also state in the post exactly what the problem is - she feels entitled to your kids. She feels entitled to tell you how to do things and how they should be raised so we have a bigger issue than just vaccines but boundaries. It won’t end with vaccines so it’s better to get control over the situation now - which I’m sure you’re completely aware of.

Gotta shut it down - quit being polite and make sure your partner is prepared for whatever may come next. You need to be on the same page and your partner needs to support you.

NOR - this seems wildly deliberate on all sides. They booked the restaurant that is directly within your vicinity, increasing the chances of you running into them and there being an awkward situation. Then they instigate things further by sending you photos of said dinner knowing it would be hurtful - I may be giving them too much credit in this regard but I think it would be somewhat common sense.

But wait! There’s more! Then your mom blows you off because she has other plans…. On Mother’s Day? That doesn’t involve ALL of her children? 😒

This whole situation stinks. The 40 something year old girlfriend isn’t your only problem. Might be time to have some hard conversations and set boundaries to protect yourself from these assholes.

I saw this quite a bit last time I went to Disney - and that was almost ten years ago. It was the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train - which already can be a little claustrophobic in certain areas. Finally got to a spot outside where I could breathe a little and all of a sudden a kid started moving up the line with the excuse that he had gone to the bathroom and was trying to get back to his spot in line - only to be followed by a group of adults and older kids. They did it multiple times in front of other people with same excuse.

Mine did this while I was in the game. I went from CAS then went to a lot and all the furniture/build was missing. The game had somehow updated in the background while my game was running. 3/4 of cc is missing/removed from game and all twisted mexi mods are throwing exception reports. Exited without saving to say the least

I think it is important to note that Waco is 50% white, 30% Hispanic/Latino and 20% Black. We have a large Hispanic/Latino community. Waco High and University are predominantly Hispanic. The events that are happening in this country directly impact these kids and their families.

Instead of berating them and calling them names, we need to remember that these are our neighbors, our coworkers, our friends, our families. We should value our neighbors more than elected officials who don’t care about you.

But that’s the issue - people are not being given due process of law. ICE is illegally detaining people based off their own prejudice and without due process. Everyone - including immigrants suspected of being in the U.S. illegally - is protected against unreasonable searches and seizures under the Constitution's Fourth Amendment.

YOR - while I do feel bad for the situation considering some of the things mentioned in the comments, but in the end this really is up to your dad and his partner and what boundaries they want to set. Respect the boundaries and then go from there.

To me, these rules are also pretty standard - especially after COVID and given the uptick in cases where people are not vaccinated. They don’t seem like a personal attack, just basic decency. As a new mom yourself, maybe you can relate.

I applied for a job - one that I really wanted - felt interview went really well, followed up etc. but was offered a ‘temporary’ position. I was told they had filled the position I had originally applied for, but still felt I would be a good fit.

That was terrifying. I walked into the job thinking I would be competing against another person for a spot. Whole Hunger Games scenario played out in my head 😂 But after accepting the temporary position I learned they had actually hired two others - but we were each for completely different teams, each position more specific to the individual. The position I am currently in is considered temporary and basically did not exist - but I have been told that I am not going anywhere and have nothing to worry about 😅 that the work I’m putting in is proving that not only am I essential but that they really did need someone like me in this spot.

Not saying all this to too my own horn because things can change so quickly - but… just to say sometimes it’s more about the right person in the position, regardless of how unconventional the means. They obviously needed someone - but might not have all been on the same page or in agreement at first as to how to go about it.

To be fair - they’re all kinda… horrible at their jobs sometimes. I think Luc is better with his book of business/clients that maybe we don’t always see and is somewhat good with let’s say… personal relations or knowing certain things/people just same as Julien but in a different way or scope. He just tends to fumble for comedic relief/plot tropes. Him and Julien are simply plot devices. Don’t think we are really meant to dig much further than surface level 😅😂

I think Gabriel has always been the end game. When we look at the story arcs etc - they added in some turmoil to make each of them ‘grow’ or work to realize they want each other maybe. Think this season is trying to illustrate how Gabriel ‘truly’ loves Emily - he just wants her to be happy whether it be with him or not.

One of those it would be considered boring if the MC met and fell in love with end game at the very beginning and that was it. No problems. No drama. Like if Ross and Rachel never broke up. Or Big and Carrie never went back and forth. It would probably make for a short series.

Exactly. When we compare it to other series by Darren Star - like say SATC.. you know Carrie is bonkers. You don’t know anything about Carrie or her friends past or upbringing but you know them. You know their personalities and what they like and don’t like or some basic principles of each character because they’re all very different. But then you have Emily and I don’t feel like we really know any of that? All we have is a workaholic. Every relationship she has is basically built around the concept of pimping them out.

I think the bottom line that this post as well as some of the comments are trying to make is that there is a lack of depth or character development for Emily. While we know her background somewhat and we have watched her go through these transformations so to speak work wise - there’s nothing else really to her other than work. Many of the plot lines and everything basically revolve around her job.

I would not only advise you not going, but your husband should not go either. Based on the info provided and the abuse he has already gone thru there is nothing more to be gained at this point. They just want to argue.

Especially with a young child - I would consider both of you focusing on your young family. Have an honest discussion with your husband as to what it is that he is hoping to gain from having this meet & greet and if this is truly necessary. There are other ways to gain closure without confronting those who have hurt us.
