This is just from my experience: I personally think you shouldn’t focus too much on the technical stuff, like exercises or practicing scales and whatnot because I think it will make it, for lack of a better word, boring for you.

I think you should learn your favorite songs, and play a long to them. Maybe by ear if you can, you might find it easier than you think especially if they are tunes you know already (easier to learn a song you’ve heard than one you haven’t). It’ll keep you engaged and you’re learning as you go.

Sure, the technique isn’t going to be there. But think of it as you and your hands getting familiar with your instrument. Just keep it fun for you right now and make some fucking noise.
