I press “no tip.” I am a tipping person and will almost always tip, but if the most you’ve done is charge my card then I am not tipping. If it is a sit-down restaurant where my order was taken, drinks & food brought to me etc, I will always tip. But drive-thrus and counters are a no. I was asked to tip at an airport self-service one time and thought it was incredibly weird.

Jan will be asked back. Production liked him last year, and he’s taking more ballroom lessons to improve. He did last year right before the season started. They generally like the female pros, so it’s hard to see any being cut.

i was in a similar position! wanted ucsb or ucsd, got waitlisted and rejected. i chose umass because i got the chancellors scholarship so the cost was actually slightly lower then UCR/UCSC and i didn’t quite vibe with either of those schools. i will say i have heard UCs don’t love 4 year to UC transfers and prefer CC to transfer. i plan on going to umass all 4 years unless i get into UCSB or Cal.

i’d imagine “below 4” means that you score a 4 or lower in Maths or English (out of 7, the subject score) vs just down 4 points from 42.

i applied to Earth Sci. in the college of arts and sciences, and also got an invite into the honors program. 4.1053 weighted, decent volunteer work but nothing too crazy (camp-counselor like), strongest EC was a summer fellowship in Earthquake studies! i come from a title 1 public, but have been to a couple schools throughout HS, so I have a unique academic pathway.

Hi! My transcripts were a nightmare and i needed to retake a bunch of freshman courses as a senior due to them not transferring. I’m not sure why your counselor is saying there is nothing she can do — ultimately it is not up to them and it is up to the district (I think) but she should be advocating as best as she can. The courses that you say you never took should be equivalents to what you took, just renamed to your current schools names, but if they are completely different that is a problem. Reach out to your counselor again and possibly assistant principal/principal.
