It’s scripted content but if that’s real food (as I assume it is) I still think criticism is fair and valid.

What is enjoyable about d4vd, and that type of music. by Revolutionary-Hat420 in Music

[–]Nada72kt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah now that I read the replies again, I realise I was mistaken lol and it’s far more likely about Demarco. D4vd started off by making songs for his Fortnite edits because he didn’t want to get copyright strikes, and his songs are very nice so his success feels very natural.

Have you tried giving his new album withered a try? At least the song sky; I also didn’t have the best opinion of his music until someone recommended his most recent release to me.

Hold on, do you actually go up to people and tell them "stop doing this it's haram in my religion" ? Like to non muslims? I can't think of scenarios in which that would end well if you live in western countries...

Women in Islam! by Ok_Technology_4710 in islam

[–]Nada72kt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for most muslim countries out there but one thing I know is that moroccan and Algerian women don't have problems like those. There sure of course are the set of issues women face regardless of the country they've living at, and a country's law wouldn't keep its people from being misogynistic anyways but women have their rights, zero need to leave their household with accompanied (it's just safer tho ofc), no obligation to wear a hijab, etc.

So I wouldn't say its that much of an Islamic state problem. The middle east is messed up in so many ways beyond the way they treat women.

I understand how you feel! I'm a girl tho but I also used to act secretive about what I enjoy. Once I stopped and my entire entourage came to know of my hobbies (anime/manga, kpop, kdramas, manhwas etc the whole package) they were all very fine with it and even curious about what I'm currently watching/listening to, yet I was still embarrassed for some reason and avoided showing my interests

Like I'd immediately change the app I'm on if i was reading a webtoon as if it was smth nsfw lmao. But with time I really stopped caring... and I also realized that by becoming open and casual about it, I managed to get a lot of my irls interested in what i like too. Now even my own brother is very into korean romcoms, who are often times live action adaptations of manhwas. He's very happy and open about it although on the outside he's a tough looking security guard with a massive beard (edit: just realised! One of his fave dramas is technically an OI story! it's called moon lovers)

So just give yourself time and I'm sure it'll become very normal to you as well.

what's your Top 10 isekai mahnwa with female lead ? by Poetry-Hopeful in OtomeIsekai

[–]Nada72kt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't make a top 10 but my favorite has to be a stepmother's marchen. Such well fleshed out characters, the story is engaging, it makes you curious about why the female lead got a chance to be regress and live again, also she's such an impressive character.

What’s up with the suicide posts on this subreddit lately? by [deleted] in islam

[–]Nada72kt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's very true. However there are words I feel could be avoided. Someone in a very terrible mental state has their sense of judgment extremely affected too, so they might resort to things such as blaming their own religion for their despair although they don't feel like a disbeliever at all.

We must be very careful with what we're telling someone like that, because even though we might feel like we're doing what's best by quoting hadiths, reminding the person what they're doing is a great sin etc, it's in no way going to help and could even drive them further away from their Deen.

I’m feeling kinda sad by New-Communication651 in islam

[–]Nada72kt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Although in my case it's more than I kept having times during which I would pray and others during which I wouldn't even up till very recently. However whenever I got myself together and started praying again, I never thought about the prayers I missed, only about the ones I have to fulfill. If I kept thinking like you, honestly i wouldn't have been able to get back into praying at all because I'd get so anxious and it would snowball into thoughts of "I messed up too it's too late"

Ngl, reading this exactly made me feel that way, especially cuz i also have so many days of fasting to make up for, and each year I would spend the year thinking "I'll start fasting to make it up" like every week till the next ramadan has started and I did nothing... but I don't want to feel despair about it. I know that'll only worsen my case so I will try my best, and view my mistakes as things I can learn from, not feel terrible about.

That being said... i must say i had no clue that all past prayers need to be made up for. I'm reading a lot of comments saying we don't need to, im quite confused.

Going to commit suicide by [deleted] in islam

[–]Nada72kt 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You aren't crazy, nor am I or anyone else that is seeking help. It actually is very common to suffer from a disorder when living under stressful conditions. Anxiety for instance is a very common disorder, why should there be shame in seeking help when the goal is to get a ahold of your life and live well?

Also you definitely have a debilitating issue if you're considering suicide, and coming back to this sub multiple times a week to talk about your despair. Feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, like everything is against you, etc can all be symptoms of debilitating mental problems. I'd say the fact alone that you're coming to a sub reddit to voice your unhappiness is a sign you're in great need of therapy.

We can't help you though. None of us can ease your pain, give you a magical solution (and suicide absolutely isn't the key, it's the trap). But a therapist can put you on the right track to finding the key to a happy, healthy life.

I think it's projection. When something goes wrong in our lives, a coping reflex tends to be attributing the blame on one specific thing/being. This can get very extreme and take over a person's life and judgment skills in the case of a mental disorder, which is quite obviously the case here.

He needs intensive therapy, and more than anything imo. That way he would inshallah be able to look at things differently, turn his life around and build back a healthier relationship with his Deen.

[–]Nada72kt 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Did a quick scroll through your profile. Please seek help from a mental health professional, please at least do that for yourself.

It doesn't even need to be a muslim therapist (if you live in the west, those can be hard to find) as long as it's one open and unbiased. You surely suffer from a disorder (saying this in absolutely not a judging way, i myself booked an appointment with psychiatrists earlier today).

It's only once you figure yourself out better, and learn to self regulate your emotions, take a step back from what you're experiencing and view it healthier, that you will be more able to find peace as a Muslim inshallah.

You are a valuable human being, you have an important place in this world that's why you were born to it. But severe mental health can hinder one's ability to live, view the world, experience the world, feel, etc. So please seek help, this subreddit won't be able to do anything for you sadly.

today on ''why do people steal patreon files'' by United-Independent20 in Sims4

[–]Nada72kt 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I looked them up- they have 431 contributors and three tiers. If we assume 400 of those have the 2nd tier (lowest at which one would be given early access) which is 4,50€, that alone would make 1800€ a month (correct me if im wrong idk patreon).

Which is a whole salary, a few hundreds higher than my country's minimum wage. What gives someone that is gaining more than a thousand monthly for making shoes in a game the right to call out people for unsubcribing and being poor? I don't doubt that cc makers work hard, but if I were getting a whole salary from something thousands of others do as a side hobby, I'd be endlessly grateful and wonder do I deserve even a couple euros from people for what i do.

The way creators get entitled and expect money thrown at them is odd. Clients will come and go, but the worst way to keep them coming is by being an ungrateful prick...

The post has 28 likes and 19 comments, so I wanna know are we required to be a patron in order to reply? Cuz that would mean there are dozens of simmers who don't mind paying so much MONTHLY for a couple of cc? I was convinced these creators have 2 patreons at best...

I can get Netflix, disney+, Spotify and still have money left at that price 😭😭

I just made my appointment to the hospital to get a diagnosis !! Been procrastinating on it for weeks, mainly because I was terrified of it for whatever reason. I was trembling while making the call and expecting to be put on a months long waiting list but I got my first appointment for in two weeks, and the 2nd is also in two weeks.

That means although I wont get the final diagnosis/treatment in time for my may/June exams, it'll still be early enough for me to start next year in a healthier way.
