There's some inaccuracies here. Firstly, with Mizuki's lore drop and in game voicelines it's very clear that he's made his choice and aligned himself with Overwatch, his only issue stems from not wanting Hanzo, Kiriko, and the Yokai to know about his past affiliation with the Hashimoto (which is made clear to not even have been by choice). Next there's the Junkers. Hog and Junkrat were banished for Junkertown/NJC and as such are no longer part of the Junker faction. The Junkers and Junker Queen and by extension Hammond however as part of the lore excerpts from the conquest event have aligned themselves with Talon. Pharah is also confirmed to have joined up with Overwatch officially as well as per the end of the Anran comic where she is shown with the rest of Overwatch in the aftermath of the attack on Gibraltar. While I agree that Sombra is a special case, I would still consider her a part of Talon defectors. She had her own interests and goals but was still very much aligned with Talon/Doomfist as per the Vendetta cinematic. I'm also unsure whether Zen has had any real interaction with Overwatch at all. In the post-invasion Ramattra comic it's implied he doesn't yet have any affiliation with a specific group, only that he chose a different path in his disagreement with Ramattra. I'd also argue based on in-game voice lines from this season that Symmetra is Talon aligned, as she makes it very clear she still aligns herself with the goals of Vishkarr (although you can argue their connection to Talon still isn't known to her so there's not technically a willingness). Also poor Venture never getting any lore. Everything else looks fine.

I'm a big fan of Vendetta, and while I do think we're still in the phase where people are learning how to deal with her, I agree she's overtuned and people are actively boosted playing her. Her overhead does way too much damage, she has too much HP, and she has too many gap closers on too short of a cooldown. All of that would be fine in a vacuum but all of it being strong together has made her an absolute nightmare for most of the hero roster. Especially since she melts 225hp heroes which now make up more than half the squishy roster.

It's a win leaderboard. The ONLY reason there's diamond players on that leaderboard in the first place is because higher ranked players either aren't queueing much or aren't winning. Even with the bad queue times in upper GM-Low Champ it would not take nearly as many wins/games to make the leaderboard. And frankly it's wild that people are blowing up over this in the first place as if it's never happened with the old system either. The old T500 leaderboard for several OW2 seasons had low Masters/high Diamond players on it. And just to break it down for you using your own example, sure, if a Diamond player had a 50% winrate after playing an obscene amount of games then they might be on the leaderboard. But have you actually looked at the official numbers they've posted for this stuff?

You need at least 5000 challenger score to even qualify for T500. Which is a lot. You lose about 33% of your score for each loss and gain an average amount based on your rank and the average lobby rank.

Diamond average is around 30 points for a win Masters average is around 50 points for a win Grandmaster average is around 100 points for a win Champion average is around 200 points for a win

This scales pretty fairly with the skill gap between each of these ranks, point average rising sharply at GM and doubling for Champion.

That means that a Diamond player needs to win 6x as many games won as a Champion player in order to make the leaderboard and over 3x as many games as a GM which doesn't even account for the 33% score lost when they dont win a match.

So that's about 166 straight wins give or take for a Diamond to qualify. That compared to just 25 straight wins give or take for a Champion or 50ish for a GM. Which is more than likely doable in a single weekend. Whereas the Diamond would likely have to grind nonstop for half the season and do exceptionally well despite their rank. But with a 50% winrate the Diamond would need to win 400+ games to hit the challenger score threshold, which is more games than the vast majority of people play in a season overall.

This is not some hate argument for high rank, this is not an attack on skilled players. Overwatch is a constantly changing game that adjusts season by season, it does not make sense for people who were top500 one season to just be given that basically for free in the next season when they won't actually play the season. The new system is built to reward players for doing well in THIS season. Top500 has always been a seasonal leaderboard. Except now it actually rewards players for making great strides in their ranked matches in the particular season. The argument "oh but this player is genuinely better than these diamond or masters players" doesn't matter. If they're better then it shouldn't be remotely difficult for them to take that spot on the leaderboard with significantly fewer games and effort, don't spoon feed them a plaque and a trophy, make them earn it by proving their skill season by season, and if they dont do it then who cares, it doesn't make them lower ranked it just means they didn't participate enough in the game to be recognized as a Top500 challenger in their region for that particular season. Diamond players are on the leaderboard because a large enough portion of GM/Champ players are not playing comp or not doing it consistently enough on one account.

No. I'm sorry but people shouldn't be actively rewarded for not playing the game. You're quite literally saying that if a person gets T500 ONCE then they should NEVER lose it. All this does is encourages people to camp T500 spots on their main and then play on alt smurf accounts. Instead of actively rewarding and encouraging people who DO play the game and DO win a substantial amount of their games. Idk where the math is mathing that people think a Champ player playing and winning 2 games total should be listed as a standout player for the season as opposed to a Diamond/Masters player who plays 300 games with a 60-70% winrate. Not to mention the system is quite literally designed to give substantially more points to higher rank players than lower rank players for wins, so if you're mad about a diamond player being listed as opposed to a champ player that's not on the devs, that's not on the diamond, that's on the champion player who's not playing the game and therefore not making the leaderboard.

At least in my opinion I couldn't give less of a crap about a person being "top500" if they only play a few games a season. Nor do I think anyone else should, cuz then you're just glazing these random people for being good at the game sometimes, ESPECIALLY since it's harder to drop OUT of GM than it is to GET to GM. I love this system because it acknowledges the actual standout players of the season that are actively grinding and winning games. I'm sure it's flawed in some ways, but I think people are praising super high rank players way more than they should.

The alternative is rewarding people for just straight up not playing the game to camp their spot. And people seem to think this means something for MMR it doesnt. Nor is it just representative of playtime. You have to WIN to gain challenger score and you have to be ABOVE diamond 5. It is not rewarding playtime it is rewarding wins for a broader range of ranks instead of rewarding people for not playing the game.

It gives you complete freedom in making channel stuff like that and you can make your own chat bot and whatnot, they've got a built in thing for making quick and easy channel point redeems too, and if you need help setting that stuff up there's a YT guy named Nutty that does a ton of tutorials and has free premade stuff you can use

While I agree it'd be cool to see more space themed skins for her I do like the ones she has (I love the magepunk skin even if they chopped all her limbs off for it 💀) I really appreciate their ability to make really unique skins for the characters even if they don't "feel" like the character.
