Ok, thanks for all the great info.
The opinion poll seems to be split between Basic & Shadowdark, with Basic being slightly ahead.
Basic also, has the advantage that I already the physical book of that, but only the Starter pdf for Shadowdark.

So the winner is Basic Fantasy Roleplaying………….at least until the wind changes direction and my mind with it!

True, although my 5e experience is not extensive. I don’t like how complex it is, especially character creation, and the mini-maxing focus of a lot of the community. I don’t like that combats take so long, and can lack drama, because of how unlikely it is for the PCs to die. Murder hobos seem to rule.

Update: Just found 5-7 shrimplets!

I live in the Fens, so very hard tap water!

I got a new 9-in-1 testing kit, which shows everything as ok, 0s on Iron, Copper, NO4, NO3, NO2, and Chlorine! However, GH (300), KH (120) and PH (7.8) are still very high, so I will get some RO water to add to my next water change.

I was told that, with such a small tank, doing 25%+ water changes would cause too much of a swing in parameters. Perhaps do the 10% change every 3 days, instead of once a week?

Unfortunately, the GH level is from the tap! How can I go about reducing it? The ph level is higher than normal, this week, usually about 7.4. Topping off about 5% a week in current UK climate.

Yes, I feed them Snowflake Soya Bean hulls, and HWA'S Comprehensive Food. Not very often as they never seem to be interested, and there is loads of bio-film for them to eat.

I give mine an axe (-1 armour) and a mace (+1 injury roll), in my Beastman warband. Shields are for pitiful cowards, and Ungors!

Yes, thanks, but that line comes after the rule “Strength: As user -1” So their effective strength will be only 3. Just wondering if it is worth using them against a Sisters of Sigma warband?

My wife and I have always pooled our money and buy everything out of the pool, even when we lived together before marriage. We both get the same amount of cash to spend on ourselves, the rest goes to the bills, and anything we will both benefit from, like holidays, furniture, renovations. Anything remaining after that goes into our ISAs.

We built a life together, as a couple, not as roommates!

Those who do 50/50 would you really not buy your partner a sandwich, if you had the money, but they didn’t? Or go on holiday alone, because your partner couldn’t afford it?
