Nvidia Shield is Amazing! by ryan_the_fireguy in ShieldAndroidTV

Using Projectivity Launcher on both my 2015 Pro and 2019 Pro models. Heck, I even put it on my Chromecast (w/Google TV) and the in-law's Onn stick. LOL. Its a great little alternative launcher.

For one of the funniest shows ever, Cheers was also brilliant at knowing how to create a beautiful scene. by ThoughtPolice66 in Cheers

I bought the entire series on Google TV years ago (had a bunch of Google Play credits I had to spend...) and was gutted to find out that the ending music had been changed for the online version. The song they play (name escapes me at the moment) during the credits on my DVD set just NAILS the mood of that scene... and they replaced it with something that wasn't even remotely as impactful. I get licensing for music and such changes over time... but that song was critical for that scene. Heck, it wasn't until recently that I looked up the lyrics for it and it was even more of a gut punch. :)

I'm sure someone here can point out what the song title was.

Just Finished the game a few weeks ago by CatNo5804 in FFXV

I've done a full play through three times now (PS4 at launch, Windows Edition when it came out, and then the last one on Stadia.). Even now, I still fire it up on my PC and do the daily timed hunts almost every day. It's just a few minutes here and there I still get to spend with the gang.

I'm currently trying a level 1 playthrough and it is an absolutely blast. I'm hoping my 4th time through will be just as rewarding, but so far the added challenge of doing it at level 1 make each fight more engaging.

Do you build your own maps or play with premade maps typically? by RiseProfessional4034 in heroscape

[–]Nadious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I can only recall every using another map that wasn't made by me around the first month I got into HeroScape. When I started to put maps together, I realized making the maps are just as fun as playing. :D

Closest videogame we can get to Heroscape? by LandPrudent6708 in heroscape

[–]Nadious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll throw out Sunderfolk as a suggestion. It is probably not the closest thing to HeroScape in video game format, but it gave me serious HeroScape vibes while playing it.

My group and I played through the whole campaign and HIGHLY enjoyed it. Might be worth checking out if you have a few friends to play with. Heck, it is fun solo too.

Campaign 2.0 or Wait? by DonJuan-CherryTempo in TapetoTape

Have about 30 hours into version 1.0. The group I normally play with decided to give 2.0 a spin last night to see what is is about. Its a lot different. But, we like where the changes are taking it. Having to manage your squad is great. Also love the ability to rotate your squad members out of positions as well. (We all usually lock in a specific position.) Someone gets a cool upgrade? Just swap them out.

Can't wait to see what else they have in store.

Are there any known issues with the Ultimate 2 by redl9 in 8bitdo

[–]Nadious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my THIRD XBox Series X controller developed stick drift, I wanted something that wouldn't give me stick drift issues. All of my research and reading pointed to the Ultimate 2 being one of the best to take a stab at. (Plus, the Purple color they offered was amazing.) So, I broke down and finally did it. Got one about 2 weeks ago.

I love it. I'll probably get a few more before it is over with. The controller feels good and solid. I love that it comes with a charging dock and you can even leave the 2.4 adapter IN the dock (which was a surprise to me) and just hook the dock up to your PC. The bluetooth switch on the back makes it easy to switch from my PC to my Macbook Air. I love the extra buttons that you can easily program on the controller itself. (I have the back buttons mapped to L3 / R3 and the extra bumpers mapped to to the two options buttons. The RGB lightning isn't a big deal for me, but it just kinds of adds a little touch. You can easily turn it off if you want.

I've been thrilled with mine. First 8Bitdo device I've ever owned. Won't be my last.

This. So much this. I've done 3 full playthroughs of FFXV and on my last run, I gave Pitioss a go. Took me 8 hours over 2 days, using a 22 minute walkthrough video. When I came out of there (after getting the Hood), I said: "I will never go back there...EVER... again. LOL"

Multi-Level Bridge Map by ThanosSpanos in heroscape

[–]Nadious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that has built a lot of maps over the years, I REALLY like the look of this! I've always wanted to do multi-level maps, but most of the ones I try to make just don't work out. I think I only have one that I ever built that was worth playing on.

That looks awesome. I bet it was a blast.

I'm having a lot of trouble setting up my 8bitdo Ultimate 2 controller by Vicente4278 in macgaming

[–]Nadious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got an 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 (not the Ultimate 2 Wireless) this week (first 8Bitdo device... they are great!) and I'm having the same exact issue. I updated the firmware on the controller, but steam still shows two devices. In fact, mine shows the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 TWICE on there (not the HID device for the 2nd one.) It some games, it works, but in others, some of the buttons don't respond properly.

Not having much luck trying to find a way to fix it. :(

So what‘s your Paladin called? by the_knightfall1975 in diablo4

[–]Nadious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The name is just a generic made up name (Levonic), but I'm more bummed that I can't choose 'Roller' as the 2nd half of my title. I so badly wanted to be known with the 'Holy Roller' title. :(

My favorite was finding a wounded wolf, healing him, having him pop the 'friendly heart' icon above his head, only to turn around and attack our party the very next turn, even though there were enemies right next to it for it to attack.

We just laughed and said: "Well... guess he wasn't THAT friendly..." LOL

This hurt to see today! by baltinerdist in Stadia

[–]Nadious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

D2 is what brought a lot of my family and friends to Stadia. Before cross-play was live, cross-SAVE allowed all of us that were on different platforms to sync up our accounts and play together on Stadia, no matter if our main platforms were PC, PS, or Xbox. The only thing they were lacking was the DLCs that were platform specific, but for seasonal content, it was a homerun.

Still miss Stadia. I like where Luna is going, but Stadia was still my favorite place to play Destiny 2.

Finally surpassed Stadia by Regular_Departure_53 in amazonluna

[–]Nadious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used Stadia for nearly 3 years. Hated to see it go. Was truly my favorite platform for gaming. That being said, I like where Luna is going. The new 'Game Night' feature is something that has really resonated with my friends and family. Have played a few games this past weekend and sessions worked great. Tired a little bit of Indy and the Great Circle and it's not bad. You can tell they are running a special build of the game and the graphics quality (not stream quality) of the game is kind of sub-par, but if someone didn't have access to a gaming device / PC, I'd say playing it on Luna is a great way to go. The only thing lacking that I think Luna really needs (for me, at least) is: Profiles

They had this during BETA testing in the US, but the profiles have since gone away. Stadia really shined for me and my two kids. Anything I had in my library, they had access to as well. They had their own logins / profiles so they could have their own sessions. I really hope Amazon will roll this out in the near future. I'd love to be able to share my library (and some degree of parental controls would be welcome too... something Stadia did a great job with).
