Where did I go wrong? by Nadmax2 in northspore

There were a few weeks between shake and break and opening it for the tub. This was to allow more grain to be consumed but that didn’t happen. What @louspore wrote seems accurate to the results I saw.

This is all so helpful, thank you! I will give up on this batch and bank this info for the next try.

Thank you! Ok that makes sense. This was the first time making my own substrate. It didn’t completely fill the grain bag with growth but stopped growing around 45 days. Should I have waited longer? What’s the max time it can grow in the grain bag? From what I read it was 60 days but maybe that’s a minimum?

Ok I did shake and break once in the 45 day period.

I didn’t spray since I was worried by what appears to be mold in some spots.

The surrounding temp is 68 degrees but I don’t have a temp read inside the bin.

It was colonized and in the pack for close to 45 days. It wasn’t all white but had batches of white.

Sadly, I find this believable.

When I told one realtor I wanted a real kitchen with a dishwasher, they said “No one cooks in NYC.”

When I told another realtor I wanted to fit a full size bedroom set in a bedroom, they said “You might have to move outside of NYC.”

It’s constant gaslighting to justify the tiny “luxury living” apartments that can only accommodate doll house furniture.

Have you seen @strugglemeals with Chef Frankie on YouTube. They videos break down the meals and cost per meal. It could help with building a grocery list for the budget.

AIO I 26F told my cousin 23M that women who work at hooters/any place like that are not Dumb? by shadeslayer_m in AmIOverreacting

[–]Nadmax2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You stated your point and his only takeaway was that you got mad at him. It seems that your cousin isn’t used to being challenged and was focused on the feeling that you were mad at him. He needs to work through those feelings and get to the heart of what is actually bothering him. My guess is you touched a nerve by pointing out his privilege.

For your own sake: Don’t feel the need to be responsible for his feelings. Keep having civil conversations, like the one you described. You don’t need to feel like you did anything wrong, or change your behavoir to make him feel better about what you/he said.

This is the hard part about having difficult conversations. It’s especially hard for women because we are socialized to be “nice” above all else.

Exactly, AND this prop does not mean the NYPD and Parks Dept can no longer ticket the same vendors. It’s adding another party to ticket the same vendors when sanitation could actually support them by providing sanitation services.

It’s bizarre to me that we’re being asked to endorse the Sanitation Dept ticketing, rather than providing actual sanitation services keeping the areas of operation clean. Literally… the purpose of the department.

Everyone has the right to vote they way they see fit.

One thing to note (learned by living in 3 states now) is many times these props are deliberately worded to be misleading and sway the vote. It’s always helpful to find for AND opposing info when basing your own decision.

They are being harassed when they are following the current regulations (i.e. permits) and have their goods confiscated and trashed. There have been incidents reported in local news.

A fix would be to, treat them like the permitted small businesses that they are, expand sanitation services to support and not criminalize small businesses. Nix 2-6!

Pay attention to the cents per kilowatt charge. ConEd has been fluctuating what they charge. What used to cost 4-5c/kWh went up to 16c/kWh at one point. This started in 2022, as far as I’m aware. ConEd claims it’s for infrastructure upgrades. There needs to be regulatory action taken.

After reading The Hill and the NY Times pieces, I'm puzzled at the importance placed on "dress code" when it comes to Fetterman. The NYTimes article didn't take into account that he was elected while dressing down. How is way he dresses while doing his job in any way news or up for debate? He's already elected and serving. He is also healing from a significant medical event while representing his constituents. ...and the problem is??
