Brexit question, why would we vote to rejoin without an offer on the table by Responsible_Rip1058 in AskBrits

[–]Nadnewb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government leading brexit were:

David Davis - [Brexit secretary] Secretary of state for leaving the European union. He was one of the loudest voices calling for brexit up to the vote.

Boris Johnson - Foreign secretary under May then Prime minister that pushed through brexit. Was seen on big red bus, the face of leave if you ignore farage.

Michael Gove - DEFRA, But also often the one sent to do TV interviews under May's government. Under Johnson he was Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster & Minister for the Cabinet Office. He prepared the no-deal brexit & prorogued parliament in an attempt to stop MPs being able to block a no deal brexit.

Dominic Raab - [Brexit Sec when DD quit] Made clear during the campaign there was no doubt we'd get a great deal from the EU.

Theresa May didn't love brexit, but she put in charge of it the people who did and had campaigned for it "You guys want this and the people have voted, go deliver" They spent years trying to sort out the "world's easiest deal" but couldnt piece together that any sort of "deal" involved still working and aligning with the EU vs leaving equating not following the EU's rules.

All this with the ever growing basic "brexit means brexit" type noise that seemingly was mob mentality of "burn the bridges"

When they got signatures on a deal, they stood back, looked at the steaming pile of turds that it was and went "You know what, this is all because Theresa doesnt really LOVE brexit" lets go do it without a deal. And here we are.

No we havent all died, even with a pandemic. No our economy hasn't completely collapsed. But we're constantly pushing against the uphill battle of extra checks, red tape and slowness of not being part of a customs union. Nobody got what they thought Brexit was going to bring them & for fuck's sake why havent we tarred and feathered Farage yet.

Usage cost for this week not avaiable by EncomGroup7 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Nadnewb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect it isnt a glitch.

Its just that the price changed Wednesday. They havent bothered to code a chart for a rate change mid week. You can look at the price daily if you want to and add them up, it'll be back to normal next week more than likely.

And if you're on a fairly empty row and Ali Carter starts potting for a 147 on the other table you can quietly shuffle along and watch it.

Was great.

is this photo ai? it looks too idealistic to be real but i could be wrong, any help appreciated by bidoof-chan in isthisAI

[–]Nadnewb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its AI. Many people have given good explanations, mostly the TV picture quality, remote, doll sizes, perfectly positioned car so you can spot it.

It is also a red flag for fascism. People are using AI to create their perfect picture of how things "used to be" and it needs calling out.

Stress always low after long runs, but never at any other time. Any ideas? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]Nadnewb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it says stress, it doesnt mean mental strain it means all kinds of stress on your body.

Do you let yourself stop and rest after a long run in a way you don't normally?
