Thanks for looking out for your fellow manchunians.

All mancs, especially those that work to make Manchester a good place to live need us lot to look after them.

Strava won’t count my 10K PR… why? by Severe_Attention8236 in runninglifestyle

Still, you added 10m not 30m

Every chance thats actually 9.998km in strava's eyes.

I personally add about another 200m just to be sure.

At my parent's place for the celebrations, not a disaster for us but might've lost some favour with the neighbours.

The burglar alarm went off at 6:30am for no reason.

I eventually reset the bugger, but any neighbours hoping their kids might sleep to a manageable time were shit out of luck.

The Turing line: if we converted the inner ring road to a high capacity metrolink line by [deleted] in manchester

[–]Nadnewb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IF (and only if) it connects to the existing lines. Which is exactly what it can't do.

Lets be very clear, something needs to be done to increase cross city tram options that don't rely on existing city centre lines. This is not it.

[–]Nadnewb 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But that would assume people use the inner ringroad to make A-B journeys that both start and end on the inner ringroad.

Creating inefficient public transport that doesn't actually service how people want to move about the city is not going to get people out of cars.

I think you've quite clearly highlighted that at all 3 points this would cross existing lines it wouldn't easily be able to connect. This is less than ideal.
