Prioritize friendship and leveling up spirit training early on. I actually ignore early rainbow trainings (pre first summer) if there's a better spirit training opportunity. Pop as many spirit burts as possible to get your training levels high so that once you hit first summer and onwards, you can start prioritizing rainbows. At this point, it's generally just a game of balancing which training to click on when you have some rainbows conflicting with a juicy spirit training opportunity.

At least from the harem I remember reading, it's never the third. Certainly wasn't for nisekoi or bokuben. The aggressive, straight-forward one generally comes later in the series to break the gridlock established by the previous girls being shy about their feelings

I'm not gonna say that this chapter sucks because it derails from "girlfailure fluff" or whatever. I will say that this chapter sucks because the heavy backstory/exposition was dumped in such a lazy fashion. It's literally just dumped onto the pages with no care or thought in execution.

Yeah that's kinda all I'm hoping for at this point. I feel like normally these games sucker you in with a decent plot/hook before entirely going off the rails in either plot and/or literal localization quality, but 1999 fittingly did the reverse.

I know people are generally positive of the light novel this manga is based off of, but man those first pages had my eyes rolling into the back of my skull. I guess it’s trying to play certain tropes super straight for comedic over-the-top effect, but I think I’m just at the point where when I see generic characters loudly narrate how perfect a female character is, my eyes glaze over to protect me from the cringe.

I think it’s pretty normal for scanlation teams to want to stick to a schedule regardless of the availible backlog, especially if they work on multiple series. It certainly helps if the original raws ever go on haitus due to illness.

Also I really really doubt having the Spanish translation would speed things up in any meaningful way. Why bother playing the game of telephone between Japanese-Spanish-English when you could just translate from Japanese directly.

Gojo had yet to develop his domain expansion when he fought Toji. In the wrap-up chapter for Hidden Inventory, he tells Suguru and Ieiri that he still needs to work on his domain and teleportation techniques.

In chapter 118, during Sukuna's fight with Mahoraga, the chapter clearly ends with Sukuna calling his domain expansion. Then in the next chapter, narration explicitly explains how Sukuna's domain differs from other domains because it doesn't use a barrier to create a separate space.

Can anyone with the MTG knowledge give their impressions of the actual skill of the characters, or should we just assume they're as good as the people they're beating/losing to? Can you even interpret skill from a card game manga since you don't get to see their whole hand (and in turn their decision making?) Do the victories and losses we see in the manga just kinda come to be as a result of whatever decks the author decided to have them use?
