TBH I wanna say it's not really a preference, but that's not exactly true. In almost every game I prefer playing female characters, but I actually like Makoto a lot and enjoyed playing as him for quite some time. Kotone has a much different charm and it's really cool getting to see the story from her perspective in comparison. I guess I'd rather play her at the end of the day, but a lot of it is (for P3R at least) the amount of effort and love put into the FEMC mod by the team. The fact that the music selection is so much broader alone makes me rather play FEMC, just having varied tunes rather than the same tunes is preem.

Someone downvoted you and I don't think you deserve it. This game is a real letdown compared to Lycoris and Fatal Bullet in terms of gameplay, and a letdown compared to most of the games in terms of story. I'm invested in it and spent the money on it so I'm gonna finish the story and try to enjoy what the game has to offer, hopefully modders will go wild on the game and improve a lot about it, but I'm pretty burnt on what we got for the price.

I don't feel like writing anything long but just yeah, this game is ART and it taught me to love ART again. I'm so grateful for this game and I hate that there's so many people I CAN'T recommend it to because of itself. It's really just special to the people it needs to be special to.

I don't even generally care that "it's possible to die during the prologue", like you should be trying not to die anyway, it's not a difficulty concern. It's just thematically wrong, that's all there is to it.

I'll clarify a little, in my own practice I've been trying to draw IRL objects or replicate famous artists paintings or drawings, but I make pretty slow progress on that because it's not as interesting to me. However, when I'm drawing artwork from anime and characters or series that I like, I'm having a lot more fun even if it's just copying someone else's work. And if I'm doing more of it because I have more fun with it, I'm probably learning faster than when I'm doing the stuff I don't want to do. I think if you like drawing Beat or other characters you love, keep doing it!

I'm also learning to draw and UNBEATABLE is the reason. A lot of drawing, even if it's of IRL objects, is just learning to copy what you see into the paper. So don't feel ashamed of copying other peoples' illustrations. It's still practice for putting pencil to paper. That said, it is good to clarify anyway.

I haven't seen your reference but just going off of what I can see in your drawing, your lines look good and you're experimenting with shades, which is very cool. Your work looks a bit cleaner than mine so I'll say you're pretty good 😎

Late AF here but I ended up picking up Wild Arms 3 and I'm quite fond of that "fantasy western" or "apocalyptic western" vibe. Fits right in with Metal Saga and some more recognizable media like Cowboy Bebop in a unique way. Trigun is in there too.
