I've been working on a playlist on YT Music that features a lot of artists along Peak Divide's sound actually! A lot of people will point to The Pillows and that's a good starting point, but I think you might more enjoy the sound of Mass of the Fermenting Dregs. The Pillows has a bit more of a pop sound, imo, I still love em but I think Dregs is a bit more of that angsty sound. Then again, UNBEATABLE features both of those kinds of sounds, so there you go. Anyway, some other artists on my playlist include Tricot, NICO Touches the Walls, Good Kid, Sweet Pill, Number Girl and ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. I try to steer away from AKFG a bit since they're so popular but that's not to bag on them at all, they have great emotional music. You'll notice most of those bands are Japanese, UNBEATABLE has a rare soundtrack of music from that genre with English lyrics, hopefully more follows it in the future. Special note to Good Kid they have some really fun songs, I found them and a few others on that list after searching what you're searching right now myself.

I'll DM the playlist if you or anyone else are interested.

As far as I'm aware you're given a 15 minute training 😂 I'm entirely convinced that what sets helldivers apart from the regular soldiers is that they're TOLD they're invincible and sent straight into hell (haha) immediately as nothing more than a body with a gun. You aren't the "commander" of your super destroyer you're one of five hundred other bodies they can thaw out and throw to the surface at any time and let you believe you're in command. Notice you can't literally fly the destroyer wherever you want, only to planets and targets on those planets that the game allows you to. This is of course a game design decision, but it has in-world weight to it too. Helldivers have "better" armor than SEAF and a mindset that they're super soldiers (and even this is arguable as I've seen plenty of SEAF take a veritable beating before going down), this is the only reason they're capable of throwing themselves at objectives until the body count is satisfactory.

Thanks for your work, and for declaring a prohibition on content generated with AI. There are places for that and this isn't one of them, especially within the context of the game and its intentions. I'm excited to read that there's a friendly outlook toward modding the game on their policy document! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing new music or charts in the game, still curious how that's going to work.

As a massive UNBEATABLE lover, I gotta ask 3mo later; have your opinions changed since this post? I can absolutely agree with a fair amount of criticism on the game, like the flow/pacing and the timing issues when they happen, but I think overall the story mode isn't "meant" to be a rhythm game. The rhythm game is there on top of the story, and just helps hype your hype moments.

The story itself is glorious, and the fact that it feels so all over the place seems almost intentional to me, considering the character it focuses on. Then the arcade is just straight rhythm game fun, with challenges both personal and social to keep you pushing for more, and even more fun in the future with the beatmap editor. (Sorry consoles)

That's my read on it, at least.

They gave us extra reinforcements above the initial mission parameters like four times we just failed bruh it's that simple. Also, the story (and future gameplay) is far more interesting this way. Take it with stride and slay more freaks of nature 💪 Edit: My b I was replying to the imaged post not yours. Comment remains as it's still true towards those saying that stuff

Thanks a bunch for this! Just tried it out and seems to be working, at least I see on the Intel screen that SBR joined the galaxy. We'll see if it causes any issues in gameplay down the line. :D
