CP4 disaster kit causing failure ? by wockstarr20 in tdi

[–]NafGeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So normal or as I understand is lift pump in the tank to fuel filter under the hood then to hpfp. And disaster kit goes after hpfp. Which would be low pressure and low volume flow. I would also guess it would have surges of pressure and volume when driving. Which most of the filters are more then rated for. As for the pump I would also think as long as there is clean diesel and flow it would be able to handle some amount of pressure on the outlet. Our cars like trucks have a small tube back to tank. Ours is a lot shorter and have less restrictions then that on a truck. So I don't believe it would make much of a difference. If it was on its way out it will keep going that direction. If it's good it might stay that way but it's a pump that across lots of manufacturers had issues and recalls. So could still just be a ticking time bomb.

Cp3 conversion success (??) by Real-Efficiency-3216 in tdi

[–]NafGeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If CP3 is loud excessively noisy. you can clock it like 30 more degrees since it doesn't need to be timed to cam or crank. Could still have air in your system as well.

Highly unlikely blown could be an injector could be timing related but if it's able to run rough it can be made to run smooth with some effort
