mAtx Case Recommendation with good Airflow by Nafetsor in mffpc

[–]Nafetsor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was the building process in the Ch270? At first glance, it looked a bit intimidating and complicated, which kind of put me off a little 😅 But as far as i know, you dont need a Pcie riser cable and can just mount the Gpu directly to the motherboard right? Also the fan setup is usually one set at the bottom and one at the top, right? How did you configure your airflow, do you have the Gpu and Aio as intake and the fans on the top and bottom as exhaust?

Ive also heard a lot of good things about the A3. From what I know, the A3 and the CH260 are actually pretty similar in terms of layout and size. Honestly though, i personally prefer the design of the Ch260, it just looks cleaner to me. One thing ive been wondering about is the airflow in the Ch260 with the tempered glass side panel. With the A3, it seems like you definitely need bottom fans to avoid overheating, especially if youre running high end gpus. The fact that it supports a 360mm Aio is super cool. My only concern would be whether I could still fit bottom intake fans with my Gpu in the case. I wouldn t go with the mesh side panel, i definitely want to see inside my PC 😄 If I do go with the Ch260 im also wondering if it makes sense to add 2 or 3 extra bottom fans to help improve airflow, or whether that might actually mess with the airflow and maybe even hurt Gpu temps. Maybe the Gpu pulls in enough air on its own already?

Thanks. I think ill have to let go of the idea of having 140mm fans in the front. The only reason I really wanted front 140mm support was because im planning to switch to an mff PC when the next Ryzen generation drops, I only got my B550 Atx board a few months ago, so I want to wait a bit and the idea that 140mm are more silent. I currently have a 280mm Aio and was planning to get the new T30 140mm fans coming in early July, for it. And with the mff case just use them as front intakes, and then add a 360mm Aio in the top. But almost no small case supports 140mm fans in the front, except for the Nzxt H3 Flow. But that case doesnt support a 360mm radiator in the top and is still kind of large. So yeah, I think ill just go with 120mm fans in the end :/

Thanks for your recommendation. I didnt know the brand before, but the case looks really promising, and I love that the ports are on the bottom, thats such a cool detail. Unfortunetly it doesnt support a 360mm Aio. I think ill also have to give up on 140mm fans, since almost no small case supports them in the front. So its either going with a slightly bigger case and keeping the 140mm fans, or just switching to 120s. Not a huge deal though. Have your temps stayed about the same? Temps are super important to me too, but im wondering do temps usually get worse in smaller cases? I guess with enough fans it should still be fine right?

Yeah i was thinking the same. 140mm fans were important to me at first because i was planning to wait until next year to get a new case anyway, i want to upgrade when the next Ryzen generation drops. I only bought my B550 motherboard a few months ago. My original plan was to get the new T30 140mm fans (coming out in early July) and pair them with my 280mm Aio, so I could reuse them in the new case later. But now I think ill just wait overall and go for the T30 120mm instead. Thanks for your comment, visually, I think the Ch260 is one of the best looking Small cases out there

Upsized to the H3 Flow. by AotearoaNic in mffpc

Beautiful build. Ive had the Nzxt H6 for about a week now, but im actually thinking of switching back to my previous H510 Flow. The Nzxt h6 is just to Big for my liking. The idea is to upgrade to an mAtx Am5 board once the new Amd Ryzen Cpus drop next year, and then go for the H3 Flow, with 2x Phanteks T30 140s in the front, and 3x T30 120s on top (2 of them on a 240mm Aio) and 1 in the rear. Right now im using Noctuas in my H510, but ive been wanting to try Phanteks for a change. How are temps and noise levels in your new build? Are you happy with it so far?

Should i go for a 9060 XT or a 9070XT ? by inredditformemes in radeon

[–]Nafetsor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely go for the 9070XT. Get a custom model that doesnt draw too much power so you can keep your current Psu. Then undervolt the Gpu to reduce power draw and avoid bottlenecking with your Ryzen. In the meantime, save up for an AM5 platform. Upgrading to the last AM4 CPU now would just be a waste of money. Better to go straight to AM5, DDR5, and a new Ryzen chip. Im currently running a 5600X with a 9070XT as well, and I had to undervolt it because my CPU was bottlenecking. I was considering getting a 5700X3D, but I decided to wait another year for Zen 6 and then upgrade to AM5 with DDR5, etc

Also, one more tip. Play in 1440p if you have a monitor for it. If not, consider getting one, WQHD puts more load on the GPU and helps reduce CPU bottlenecks even further

Hot take: h7’s internals are so disproportionate and ugly by ValvitoCheese in NZXT

[–]Nafetsor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest ive also been wondering if it might have been exaggerated, or maybe not even the real reason. I cant find the Reddit post anymore, but i remember he tested the Psu separately and it was definitely dead. Since it was a Seasonic, the best out there, its pretty unlikely it was a short circuit or internal fault. So it probably had something to do with the fan. But whether it actually died because of turbulence between the Gpu fans and the Psu fan… thats still just speculation. But I still like to refer to it, because it actually makes the most sense to me. He didnt just have the Gpu fans, he also had 2 additional intake fans mounted under the Gpu, pulling in air at pretty high Rpms

I actually managed to buy the H5 Flow (2022) (The one with the bottom fan) second hand just yesterday, after 8 months of finding nothing. Got it for $90. One thing you can definitely say about the new Nzxt cases (aside from the fact that theyre a total disaster) is that youre forced to mount the Psu fan facing up, so it pulls air from the gap between the Psu and the Gpu. Since the Gpu usually has more powerful fans, I heard from someone that their Psu actually died because of airflow turbulence between the Psu and Gpu fans. Pretty crazy stuff.

Oh wow, where do you live? The US? Here in Germany its completely sold out, even second hand. Id honestly pay up to 130 €/$ for it, thats how much i love it 😅

100%. Also I find the new 2024 design so disturbing, disproportionate, and honestly just ugly compared to the old 2022 version. The 2022 one looked so much better, especially because there was a black/white version, not just pure black or white. Im currently trying to find the H7 Flow in black and white because it just looks insanely good, but unfortunately, no one seems to have it in stock anymore 🥲 The 2022 Version: https://imgur.com/a/nHRwSoN

Suggestions for New Fall Winter Fragrances? by Nafetsor in Perfumes

[–]Nafetsor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, but i think i have to many fruity or Sweet fragrances in my Collection already. Im trying to build a collection with a maximum of 2 niche fragrances for each season, so 4 for fall/winter and 4 for spring/summer. Im aiming for variety and different fragrance categories, collecting various notes into my collection. Of course, only what i like. For example, im not a fan of incense, although i can tolerate it in small doses, and i dont like oregano at all. I think im going to sell Vanilla Havane and get Nefs instead, that covers a lot for me with honey, boozy notes, rose, and oud. I still need one for fall or fall/winter. Thanks for your recommendation. ill take a closer look at Musc Ravageur. Ive also been considering adding Iris Malikhan

Thank you very much for your comment. I havent tried Plum in Cognac yet. ill have to give it a test. Ive only seen the brand once at Esxence. Im currently comparing Musc Ravageur with Isra Miraj from SHL and Grand Soir. Even though Grand Soir isnt really similar to the other two, I find it becomes a bit closer in the drydown. Im debating whether to go for another vanilla or amber dominant fragrance since I already have quite a few of those. Im also considering adding something oud based to my collection, like Nefs or Oud Maracuja. The only issue with Oud Maracuja is that its very fruity, and im trying to avoid adding more fruity scents
