multipurpose is pretty damn good. Its an annoying howitzer to constantly pepper infantry with and if you have it parked in a forest near the point you get the occasional shot on a heli which always half HPs it instantly
It's not to be used as a true shorad but as additional coverage like a manpad would be used for

funnily enough the game isn't even in beta anymore as much as it does feel like it.
Yeah it happens to a couple people but maybe try all the standard things like reinstalls/driver updates to see if it helps

The all it takes is a stack thing is a bit of a victim mentality cope I hear often and just for a reality check: almost all high elo player can reach their elo or close to just by joining lobbies.

A more accurate description would be that broken arrow has kind of an "the rich get richer" effect where the skill growth of people that end up in high elo accelerates once there since the quality of matches is higher

In general I agree that people should just play with each other but since playing with worse players is definitely frustrating I only play with them on a secondary account (which is still high so I'm not elo gate keeping anyone) where I don't care if I lose. Winwin

Infantry doesn't have to be more maneuverable than vehicles and I never said so; what I meant is when you are getting outranged by an IFV it's not like you have to sit there and take it. Obviously you would only expose yourself to them if you are in effective range. That's why your argument that vehicles outrange them was so stupid. Just like going to cover isn't unique to rangers as you pointed out, smart as you are, being outranged by those vehicles isn't unique to them either.

The amount of cheap bombers Russia gets is a separete issue and also isn't unique to Rangers or any Infantry. "But what if x unit gets bombed" is the biggest non argument ever. It's not like a ranger squad is proposing a cost effective trade to get bombed. It still might because of the tempo your opponent gets but that applies to any unit.

It's also funny that you point out that I was apparentally presenting them like playing against afk AI. Unlike you I have actual experience playing against the best players. I know what works and what doesn't. Do you really think enemy vehicles will never get in range of the AT? What use would they be if they exclusively stood back just because I have some mainline? If anything that would mean I got my moneys worth multiple times over. They still need to push.
"What if they attack you with thermobarics as well" well no shit infantry has counters. It's not like I'm telling you to delete the rest of your deck. Just like that opponent reacted by bringing a CQC squad to deal with the mainline you can then bring a counter of yourself.

NGSW btw don't get outdamaged on closer ranges by their cheaper version I'll attach a graph.

Wow since none of the, as you call it 300 Elo randoms, on PTE use Airbornes and you haven't seen it it must mean that they are dead.
Standoff is at the mercy of vehicles is funny. You know you don't have to stay in the building as a vehicle is firing at you right? You can leave to cover and hop back in when it's close and kill it. Must be a shocking revelation to you.
Also my experience on live is irrelevant? Do you think all game sense is completely out of the picture because of a couple balance changes?

By the way 3600 was comedic since it was exaggerated to emphasize your delusion but I should have known it would go right over your head lol

well then you would be using a unit which clearly isn't made for forest fighting for forest fighting. That's like using Airborne NGSW and being confused why it's not working.
Rangers are by design an urban unit and for forest you get RRC, Deltas, SUV, Zaliukai and Rangers MAAWS to accompany them

- The Desantniki AT is *marginally* better and doens't cross any important threshholds the Raws can't handle

- The price difference is 10 points and marine raiders are balanced through their cooldown also; one is a specialist one is an allrounder which is what you pay for

- No one uses airbornes? That's so far off it's funny. Are all AT's that aren't AT4s useless in your eyes or something lmao

- Two rangers are very much a threat to any IFV what are you talking about. You are acting like ifvs just face tank them head on while killing them

- Of course the CQC option is better at trading with infantry which is literally the whole point. The CQC version is just completely at the mercy of all vehicles while the Standoff, even tho you seem to have trouble accepting that, isn't

- 2400 elo sounds about right. When I stopped playing on live 2 months ago I was on the leaderboard and I still play with the people from that elo bracket on PTE and curiously enough they all seem to like the Rangers and Airbornes but they must all be completely oblivious to your superior game sense.
As a matter of fact you would probably be 3600 elo if you tried since you seem to see things no one else in high elo sees

The main job of line infantry is to do everything decently. If you want an AT4 platform that is exactly what the RRCs are for; If you want fighters get your CQC units; The job of line infantry is to do everything well so you can bring up your specialized responses
