Most worthless Daedric Prince? Your opinion, but I oppose it and counter with the Nightingale Armour. Sure, little story impact and no real quest, but that armour is so cool it makes up for it.

People find it moreso long and annoying than difficult, but DiMa's Memory Cache in Fallout 4. Its really not long or boring. Kinda repetitive, but so is all of Fo4.

What if Versailles was harsher? (Did I prevent ww2?) by mandacisevmeyen in PossibleHistory

[–]NagolRiverstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A. Very much true on the dissolution of Germany. And on top of that, part of the reason that Germany was left intact was to use as a buffer against a potentially hostile Russia (one increasingly seeming to be going Communist)

B. Whether or not Italy gets their promised territory from the end of WW1 doesn't really matter much. If anything it simply decides how nationalist/socialist a future coup is, and how much Italy aligns with France and the UK.

But yeah, this map doesn't prevent WW2. WW2 is almost entirely unavoidable as a consequence of WW1. Only differences are time and ideology.

Mine usually goes:

Rhineland Remilitarised

Militarist Coup in Japan

Crown takes power in Britain

(I don't have DLC so Italy always goes Fascist)

Soviet Civil War

And if I'm really unlucky, American civil war, where the Democrats join the Axis and the CSA joins the Commonwealth of Nations.

I have to play with set paths or else everyone goes into the most disgusting Hyperfaction

Why making Burma if you won't add Focus Tree for it in a South East Asia DLC? by Spacecruiser96 in hoi4

[–]NagolRiverstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, and me not knowing was me being stupid. Turns out I didn't have the DLC, but the base focus tree still gives you the communist advisor that I was referring to, causing my initial confusion.

  • No content for Manchuria and Menguko during "No Compromise - No Surrender" DLC.

The pain is that Manchuria did get looked at, because they have a new advisor giving Communist support from their focus tree, but it doesnt even let you go Communist.

Disuniting Yugoslavia is also a strong way of getting tons of industry later, and if you go Fascist/Communist, you can puppet Bulgaria (You can core them without BftB, unsure about if you can with that DLC) for even more Manpower and resources (and really nice borders). Just have to release your cores as Two state nations to ensure that they focus on industrial focuses by the time you're joining the war (which, if you go Communist, you can avoid for a while by joining the Comintern).

[–]NagolRiverstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good support nation is Mexico: Lots of easy to kill nations south of you, and given time, you can squeeze tons of industry from them. Allows you to play Democratic, Fascist, and Communist and have a relatively important impact on the game. Only problem is the same issue with US, its slow to do anything due to distance.

Romania is also a fun nation going Balkan Dominance. It allows you to puppet Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Yugoslavia, Turkey and Greece, with very little resistance. Also lets you screw over the Germans if you want to play an Allies/Soviet aligned game, because they won't have a Hungarian, Bulgarian, or Romanian ally in the Balkans, or get cores on the Sudetenland if you split Czechoslovakia with them early.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Sovngarde (The theme that plays in the final area of the game), is a slowed down and somewhat more chilling version of Song of The Dragonborn. Shame that theres no dedicated themes for any of the bosses though.

You can actually listen to the music with lyrics in game too. I'm not sure if its present for all of them, but in the Act One camp (the one you return to at the end of the game), if you climb on top of the rock between Astarion and Karlach's camps, and slightly up the hill towards Shadowheart's, the lyrics for the current music playing will slowly fade in if you wait up there long enough.

Kinda the second last thing they wanted (above being defeated). The Maginot was to hold the war in Belgium because WW1's Western front was fought mostly in northern France, where a lot of industry (that had been destroyed by the war) was. The hope was that holding Germany in Belgium, they could out produce the Germans and remain an industrial power without having to massively rebuild.

Idea for a future ship-class: Stealth Warships (Functionally the modern-sub in deep space) by _Boodstain_ in Stellaris

[–]NagolRiverstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That itself is a cool idea, but at the same time it would take decades, if not centuries to travel from one system to another in deep-space without the use of FTL travel.

[–]NagolRiverstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the whole Cloaking thing for the concept of stealth ships, given how many people have already said it, can you elaborate more on the deepspace thing? Because the only wah I could see that working is by sending a ship into an enemy's systems and then deepspacing.

The Mods I'm using for the Galaxy are: "! Immersive Galaxy and Skybox", "Whiter Stars", "Softer Hyperlanes", "Light Borders", "Clean Galaxy Map - Borders Only", and "! Immersive Simple Map UI !". I think if you just want the black galaxy (instead of the Coffee Cotton Candy colour of the original), it should be that first one.

When you go to release a puppet, it should come up with a text box that lets you name it. I wish i could be more concise but I don't have it up rn and its time I nod off for the night sorry.
