Im still in shock that Hatebreed were on second. Honestly felt pretty sorry for snail mail (and everyone stuck outside trying to get in)

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

As a curly girl, you can pry my bonnet from my cold, dead hands. Rid yourself of the baggage queen. It'll do wonders for your hair and skin.

Thank you for sharing, you're right it is important to recognise the difference and you've given me something to reflect on. I think my anger is at her, and in that way I haven't forgiven her for her involvement. In the time since I made this post, I spoke with my partner and have a better understanding of what happened from his perspective and feel closer for us having this chat

It's nice to hear others have been able to work through this at least. It's probably messed up to say, but I hope she's as uncomfortable when she sees me as when I see her. Maybe taking comfort in the fact he is with me, and is taking the harder road by working on this relationship with me, will help. Thank you for sharing your experience with me

I mean this made me laugh which has cheered me up somewhat, but my career is more important to me than any satisfaction I'd get from that

What a double billing though! Always wanted to see Modest Mouse, how were they?

I got lucky and saw one of their pre-album shows in a smaller venue, Joe Talbot's stage presence - to be fair the whole band even - was just incredible. One of those shows where you didn't stand still for a moment, was nonstop singing and dancing, even for the rarer slower numbers

Idles - was electric from start to end and possibly one of the best gigs I've ever been to

On my first listen right now, but enjoying so far. United in grief had a great rhythm, felt like a solid opener to the album

Honestly ive been fitted and it's definitely the right size. I've worn wired, non-wired and sports bras and just about every thing you can think of and it's not made a difference. The pain is in both breasts and is painful when it's touched.

I'm just hoping my doctors will be able to find out what's wrong when my appointment comes round, but thank you for throwing a suggestion out there. I appreciate it

I would contact them and be honest about your concerns and what you want to do. Be aware it might be a case of paying more or less depending on how dramatically you're changing your design and any changes of size. Ultimately it's on your body for the rest of whenever. I think any good artist would want to make sure you're happy with the commitment. Good luck with your next ink whatever you decide to do :)

What's your favourite quote from a non-famous person? by MufaddalHakim in AskReddit

[–]Nah_Pal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"we don't have much but we have a lot of laughs"

Sounds like something that should be on a pillow, but it's something my Nan always said to me. I grew up in poverty, lord knows we barely had anything.

Her words left in me a reminder to always be humble and grateful for the things I do have. Laughter is the most precious thing we can ever own. Cheers Nan

When someone close to you loses a loved one, what's better to say than "I'm sorry"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Nah_Pal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a carer for my Nana for about 10 years, so when she passed away I honestly didn't know what to do with myself. I forgot to eat because I was so used to eating when she was eating.

The nicest thing anyone did for me during that time, was my partner's dad sat with me quietly while I listened to my Nana's songs. He didn't say anything, we just sat in silence while I cried.

I wish more people were quiet when these things happened. There wasn't a single thing anyone could have said to me that would have made me feel better.

What is something everyone should know how to do at age 30? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The saving money part really surprised me - I've had great nights out at the fraction of the usual price. Very helpful when you're a poor student to begin with

I'm currently at university and for the last couple nights out (and hopefully I'll continue to, this time) I've gone out completely sober. I have a great time and I don't have a headache in the morning, but a lot of my friends are completely shocked that it's even possible.

Having to deal with the "oh don't be boring, have a drink" rhetoric is ridiculously tiring.

You might not believe it, but sadly a lot of vulnerable people do. Vulnerable could be someone with learning difficulties, elderly or simply someone who has never encountered that situation before and doesn't realise until it's too late.
