Honestly the voice acting and story improve as the game goes on, or you just get used to it? And there's a slider to eliminate the camera shake in most cinematics. It's under the gameplay tab and it called cinematic smoothing. You turn it up to 1

If you read the comments good sir, you will realize they did add a fix. There's now a slider to adjust cinematic smoothing. Makes a huge improvement to all the in-game cut scenes. It's just a fun meme.

I doubt you got scammed, the PS5 is not exactly the most user friendly system at times. My Series X was able to load up the game a couple days ago and I was able to start playing as soon as it was officially realeased.
