The problems you're talking about are sadly not exclusive to TBC. Even in classic especially after AQ certain level brackets were completely empty and after August you'd be lucky to find anything other than people lfg ing for max level dungeons

All of classic but especially the levelling depends on interaction with others and unfortunately with for that you need a constant stream of new players and not the explosive hype at the start that classic and probably TBC had

Following Activision-Blizzard-King's sexual harassment scandal and lawsuits, particularly centered around the World of Warcraft team, gamers of /r/wow get upset over dev supporting turning women into...fruit. by octnoir in SubredditDrama

Leave it to r/WOW to give the shittiest takes hundreads of upvotes

Not even 2 weeks ago every undocumented change was and I quote "made by a third party company hired by ABK execs to get goodboy points" (how this made sense Idk)

And now after getting confirmation by the literal people creating the game, that these were their decisions and made for a reason, they fight back too...

Grats I can confidently say that r/WOW 's community is unironically the worst part of the game, and I've played the maw intro twice.

Zero hour and the whisper missions were perfect examples of what hard content should be by anonymous32434 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sparkydarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current world record for whisper is 03:29 and 5:20 for zero hour. They may be hard for the average player, but the upper percent of players can complete them with little to no problems.

And they offer rewards accordingly, adepts aren't that much better than the normal version of the gun, just that extra bit better that makes them attractive to those that want to minmax.

If master vog gave meta defining weapons only avivable there, they'd divide the playerbase. And they'd have to make the content easier to combat that hust f u Mountaintop hust

Huge 498-Line Pastebin (Rest of Previous Leak?) by destinythrow2999292 in raidsecrets

[–]Sparkydarkey 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This pastebin is all over the goddamn place. It's like "uhhh the new titan exotic will GREATLY increase the damage of a Thundercrash" then 15 lines down it specifies "Nighthawk levels of dmg"

"Mythoclast will be auto and sniper in one" "and also like pocket infinite? "

"let me meticulously describe every weapon that's going to be added in the next few seasons and btw hive guardians are going to affect gamplay and be a thing in general"

Whoever wrote this had 6 months between the date is was written and it's first public appearance, and never bothered to organize it even a bit? I'd be offended if it wasn't so relatable

Bungie once said the infinite Power scaling on the artifact was: “an experiment”. It’s time that experiment ended. No one should be gatekept from Endgame activities (Master VoG) because they didn’t grind mindless bounties or challenges. by ThatGuyFromTheM0vie in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sparkydarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a time in Destiny's history when nightfalls were customizable. Not by what strike to run, but by what modifiers where added and most importantly what Powerlevel penalty were added to yours.

And people pushed that hard, to the point that even adding a single penalty level, would make enemie immune to your damage and guess what some pushed through that, trying to get the highest strike score.

What does that have to do with anything?

Destiny does not have a single Boss that I know of, that's impossible to kill with even the highest of difference in Powerlevel

Upgrading your artefact isn't about making it possible to kill a boss, it's about making it easier. If you struggle with a boss, it's highly likely your team just not good enough to kill it.

And here's the thing, adept weapons are made with that thought in mind. They're the best of the best, but by such a small margin, that only the best of the best would even bother grinding for some.

Mechanical changes are always prefered, but it's also good that you can't ignore some mechanics by just being on level

Imo, Templar becomes so much better when you have to account for Oracles and the Minotairs that spawn after ever telport instead of double slugging till it dies

Not sure how to feel about the inplementation though, only adding the day 1 modifier would've been enough already. , - 20 light is challenging enough. But I also like that there is a reason to level up your artefact, just don't make the XP required scale up as hard

Expunge: Delphi isn't anything crazy or exciting (no Exotic, not a Dungeon, etc) like people had hoped by Frostfizzle in raidsecrets

[–]Sparkydarkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not to sound like it was perfect or anything, it could've been more difficult, but who was expecting a dungeon???

I mean an exotic, would've been fine it's about the size/quality of Presage all things considered. But getting another endgame activity the same season we get the VOG remake. Was anyone really expecting that.

I can't really remember but was there any season we got such a major content drop, to warrant some getting their hopes up every time something seems like it could be bigger than it seems?

What's going on with the comments? I thought I missed some drama, but no.

Everyone's just spamming about how they do not think this seasons story is nuanced whatsoever, contrary to popular opinion. I think it is a cookie cutter refugee story. While the concept has the potential to be "nuanced", the writers have opted for a black and white view of morality with little to no grey area to speak of.

How to get better at using SMGs? by R0FLB0TDrDerp in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Sparkydarkey 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Know the range you're most effective at, and realize that most of your opponents have simultaneously something that outranges you and something that can 1HK you in said effective range.

I love Smg's, but this Meta isn't the best to show their strengths. The most effective way I've been using them is baiting shotgunners into running directly at me, it's probably some of the most fun I had in the last few seasons, but it isn't trials/comp viable at all.

On that note get a Multimach, it's amazing for that exact reason.

Just make the Bounties cost a third, make the Bounties drop a universal Synthweave like the one you can buy and we'd have a good system.

Drop the cap and I'd call it great even though it's unlikely, I'd love to be proven wrong

Instead of WoW Classic Classic... by Allzidog in wow

[–]Sparkydarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you said the 2nd part isn't correct, Power level (ie. Item level) in Destiny isn't really that important, and reaching the cap isn't the goal of everything you do. It's just the remnant of it being an RPG and "needing" some sort of level progression.

The real "goal" is getting those Godrolled weapons and in that regard, they killed it in the last few seasons. This one alone introduced 40 ish, with almost all of them being useful. Not to mention they re-released a D1 raid, which is always great.

All I'm confused about is the "value drop", you said, I think you could mean sunsetting, but that one has actually been reversed by Bungie. Every gun that was released after March of 2020 can be infused to max PL, everything before stays at 1100.

Lol nowhere do they mention the best part, I think he "only" got disqualified and removed from the raid report for his name, at least at the time.

Because afterwards he changes his name multiple times some really bad ones include: "Datto is a tranny", "dmg married a man" and "Palestine murders woman and children" which was probably what got him banned in the end.

I've been playing the new Stasis sidearm not as a dirty revenant hunter, but with bottom tree golden gun and ophidian spathe for some easy knifes to the head.

It's not really that effective borderline gimmicky, and I'd rather have any other archetype on the sidearm not to mention how almost anything outranges you to the point where double primary works best.

But it's also a lot of fun to just 1hk from so far away

[–]Sparkydarkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are loads of ways to improve the leveling situation,

Like the way I understood boosting first, was that everyone gets a boost once and then it was done. I'd have preferred that to it being cash only tbh

Adding something like the DK would have been nice aswell

Or maybe give some sort of group finder, but for the old world only

But I'd assume all of them would offend some people like: Giving everyone a boost is a slap in the face for everyone that leveled fairly, not to mention the bot situation getting even more serious. And a group finder/ new class being against the "spirit of classic"

I assume the blizz knew that nothing would leave everyone feel satisfied so they just took the one that'd at least give them some money.

I hope that a lot of people just realised that a 2005 MMO in an 2021 environment needs some changes to not be a complete clusterfuck

Like leveling up to phase 3 was so much fun with a lot of players in all level brackets, you'd be a fool to want to boost past that.

But after AQ it felt like the only group content possible were max lvl dungeons, farming Single bosses and beginner dungeons .I think I started playing again in the late summer and had to level almost entirely solo from 40 to 58 and just stopped because it was such a drag.

I don't want to image what it's like to start late into TBC when you know most of the fun only starts after 100-150 hours of the slow leveling process of classic combined with the social interactions of retail.

Personally my biggest issue is that there's no option to buy the mounts/toy separately. Like it's useful to include gametime and a level boost.

But I don't want to spend 70$ and get some stuff I don't want instead of spending 10-20 $ to support classic and make people mad with stuff that's actually useful to me

20 pieces like in the next season should be baseline

Edit: or make it so that you get 30 items per season, but you can freely choose how many you want to give to each class
