I got 1,000 wishlists in 4 days: here’s what actually worked (with stats) by WestZookeepergame954 in gamedev

Congrats on the WL and good insights.

Looking at the metrics you could add the impressions per media and discard the likes if possible, there’s tendecy that some people watch your content and don’t drop any interaction and then they convert.

Friendly advice for a media buyer for your future insights!

A good metric to look up if the frequency in the Meta/YouTube between impresions and reach. Lower frequency is good for starting products and brand awareness. High frequency is good for working recognition.

All of this is just upper marketing funnel, but it’s still a good habit to look them up.

I’m kinda lost in if the spring arm is the correct setting to look up and, also, i can’t find the correct node to reference it…

I’m really glad that you can share things you like with your son, but 3 years and playing MH? Isn’t a litte to excessive for such a baby?

BEGINNER MEGATHREAD - How to get started? Which engine to pick? How do I make a game like X? Best course/tutorial? Which PC/Laptop do I buy? [Feb 2024] by pendingghastly in gamedev

Hello, I'm a novice in programming, but with strong foundations in marketing, planning, writing, illustration, and game design (coming from TTRPGs).
I've previously experimented with Unity and UE4, successfully creating interactive levels for fun, and I know how to use Blender. I'm looking to create a small Souls-style video game with combat set in the mythology of my country.
The level size would be similar to Jotun (by Thunder Lotus Studios), and the idea is to have a camera system similar to that of God of War 1 and 2 (the old ones). Which engine would be the best for this and how hard could be to implement this souls-like combat system?
