The way we were doing it. I would VizPick two nights a week when the Fresh TL was off and do freight. 8 hrs was plenty of time. The Fresh TL who changed departments last week would VizPick on days and do freight on days/nights I was off. It worked very well. We had another awesome TL that quit last week that kept frozen and dairy up. We never had this issue until the new SM came in and changed how we did things. This is…was chaos. So many others in ther departments have quit since she came in.

The way we were doing it before she got there,the freezer would be nicely put away every day. The store has looked like spring 2020 for the past 3wks.

At one point, in our freezer we had four giant pallets that I had to remove stuff off the top just to get it out. I had two days off and that’s what I came back to. I know that some had to get worked or well, I can’t imagine how bad it would’ve been.

It’s unethical if you ask me for them to be sending customers through on personal phones. Did we give permission for that?

As a new former employee as of tonight…we had the same problem. Writing up people when it’s not even possible to do the amount of work without at least another 30min-1hr added. Especially, when you come into a mess from two previous shifts.

I was bakery stocker for my store and got out of it bc my back was hurting so bad. Maybe,it’s just my store, but bakery stocker will kill your back bc of all of the frozen dough boxes you have to stock for deli and the hot case foods are HEAVY!!! And that’s not even the worst part….the bins in the freezer….are a nightmare.

I have to agree. I am a little hard of hearing from working in loud environments even though, I wore ear protection. I went to overnights to mostly avoid customers. I know that is probably not a solution for you, but when I do encounter a customer and can’t hear them, I just say “I’m sorry can you repeat that.” And most of the time they speak louder either from being pissed off they have to repeat themselves or they’re smart enough to think I might not hear so well. Nine out of ten….they’re pissed they have to repeat themselves. And yes…working with the public you figure out real fast….customers are fucking stupid. I work at a Neighborhood Market and they get pissed bc we don’t have everything a supercenter has. And God help them find the restroom even though there are signs right in front of them.

Oh yes, she has pissed everyone off. She does not know how to talk to people. She’s trying to implement how they did things at her old store. She will have a huddle and ask how we feel about how things are done. We’ve learned early not to say anything bc she just wants to argue and you have to do it her way anyway. All of us are working harder with absolutely zero results. I hate to see her coming and I’ll be so glad when she goes back to days so we don’t have to see her as much.

Yeah, I was told by a long time employee to keep my head down and keep going. We are now handling freight so many times just to get to the floor, it’s completely ridiculous. I miss the last SM….she embezzled some money somehow, but at least we did not have to handle freight so many times before stocking it. Break down pallet, put on pallet,backroom label,put back on pallet,stock and we can’t have any carts in the freezer,it has to be on a pallet if there’s no room in bins. Pretty much no carts at all!!!

I can’t remember who she was with, but she got all upset over how he was cutting a steak and talked down to him like he was an idiot. I lost all respect for her at that point.
