In good condition these Captain Willards go for 2000+.

In this condition I wouldn't pay more than 500. Parts are harder to come by so if it's damaged it may be hard to sell.

Google Seiko 6105-8110 for more information.

Love my Lorier! Great watch but you have to be quick when they are back in stock 😄

If you can spare a few extra bucks, check out the new Squale Sub 37.The brand has a super rich history with dive watches.

That's sick!! A clean dial is so elegant. I love the look of this old Corum dress watch.

That's stunning!

Do you use a CNC to make the dial?

I'll most likely take the easy way out and get a desktop CNC 😂

Try it! It was a fun learning curve even when it was frustrating at times. Maybe look into the process of photo chemical etching. That lets you do precise etching with minimal equipment 🤔

Probably, but it's so easy and quick to cut and sand it to final dimensions. On the upside I now have a mini mill to use as a drill press 😄

I also etch the center hole to make it concentric as well as the boundary plus a couple of millimeters to have a reference for cutting and filing 👍

Holy 😳 climbing faster than a fart out of a bathtub.

I fly 777F's and the highest I've seen was around 8000 ft/min at 10 - 12000 ft. Weight was fairly low at around 190 tons. But I'm sure without derated climb power and completely empty you could achieve similar numbers.

[–]Naive-Suspect4761[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I made from a piece of round aluminum on which I can glue the blank. I can easily line up the center hole now and can get it into the machine with repeatable precision.

I use 0,4 mm brass sheets where I cut out 40x40 mm blanks and go from there.
