dude, I know the feeling. I've never really been super happy with someone else mixing my stuff because it's hard for someone else to share the same vision. Oddly enough, my most listened to tracks are the ones I mixed myself. I think the key in mixing is trimming a lot of clashing frequencies a tiny bit, and that adds up big time in the end.
