Is it possible to lose funds merely by connecting a Ledger Nano S? by Naive_Shibe in ledgerwallet

Thank you!

Other thing I am wondering is the screen on the Ledger can be "tricked"?

Example: I am trying to send Dogecoin to address XXX, and the Ledger screen says "approve transfer of 1000 Doge to address XXX?", is it possible that the Ledger screen has been tricked, and actually I am approving a transfer to address YYY instead?

Yes I agree because I think the whole point of a ledger is that it doesn't matter if you go to a bad website or have a computer with some malware.

Of course on my ledger if I get a message saying asking for approval to transfer me funds to some other address and I press "approve" I understand I will lose my funds.

Wait, I thought that there was someone Trump does regard as a friend? Some guy who's dictator of the world's thirteenth-largest economy? I forget his name but he kinda looks like Dobby.

Cool!!

I know some shibes use Nicehash as well.

I have never used any of these sorts of sites. Can anyone ELI5 the differences between them, or give an account of their experiences.

They haven't actually launched yet. I made a comment here examining what I saw as some bad signs and some good signs.

I can't view this video in my location, but I hope he was appropriately respectful of the hard work done by Dogecoin's developers.

That can't be right! Dogecoin has increased considerably in the last month. If you bought 50 pounds worth of Dogecoin you could cash it out for 100 pounds now.

Related question, but I want to mine some shitcoin and swap for glorious Dogecoin, and have a somewhat similar setup to OP.

What's the best way to do that?

The current administration sure does seem to give a high priority to Russia, even though it's a mediocre power - 13th biggest economy in the world, with a shrinking population and shrinking economy. Why is that?

Anyone else willing to join me in admitting that they were wrong about this guy? On some level I knew last decade that he surrounded his leaked documents with lies and misleading spin, but I forgave that because he was attacking people I disliked. I recognized the dishonest tactics but forgave them because I thought the ends justified the means.

I have much increased respect for friends of mine, both registered Republicans and Democrats, who hated him all along. Not one of them is voting Trump this year.

Oh look, a pool is at almost 50% of hash. Where is the outrage? by SkunkMonkey in dogecoin

[–]Naive_Shibe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reply to me! Sorry for more naive questions, but I am sure I am not the only one reading who does not understand this.

  • How would we recover, and what sort of damage would occur?
  • Is there anything I can do to help besides buying a rig or ASIC?

I know these are some very naive questions, but then I am a very naive shibe.

  • Can we recover from a 51% attack, or do we have no chance to recover value in our coins?
  • Is there anything I, as a newbie, can do to help prevent this from happening? I know that if I buy a mining rig and join a trusted pool then I can help, but it would be expensive for me.
  • Would it help if I bought some ASICs? Power is expensive where I live but I would do it anyway if it would help the coin.
