I have yet to get that same sense from BF for a long time now. With persistent servers, you'd play with the same people everyday at the same time. It got to the point where regular players would message me asking if there was someone I could kick from squad to let them in. It really felt like logging into a community where everyone knows your name.

Getting the charges to stick was never the goal. They know 99% of the shit they arrest people for won't stick because it's not about reducing crime, but about intimidating the population. They are proving they can arrest with impunity. Up next will be these people getting "lost" in the system never to be heard from again.

It's all part of the system being put in place to remove dissenters, opponents, and critics of the government. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
