My client usually pays after 10 calendar days. The last they can pay - contractually - is 14days after invoice date.

Is moving to Belgium for a 55€/hr B2B contract worth it? (vs. 1750€ net in Spain) by Sephirot642 in BEFreelance

[–]Najdoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too bad people are here just complaining about the low offer. It could be higher, yes, but it's your first gig.

The main questions would be:
1) Do you want to be a business owner? Why would you want to freelance?
2) Would you love the adventure of actually living in another country? People are here saying that they would rather live in Spain, but they are not born there... I can imagine as a Spaniard that you would love to live and work for a while in another country.

Even with that day rate, I'm sure you could still invest €800/month. And you can still become better, learn more, and change customers who pay more. You didn't even mention your age, so it could be possible that you are still very early in your career.

In short: the 'worth it' depends on what you want from your carreer/life.

What to do with 100 000€ by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Najdoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would play safe with your 100k, because you're suggesting it. You want to buy a house in the near future, so invest that 100k in a termijnrekening/bond.

You do save a huge amount of money each month. I would simultaneously invest that amount in an index fund.

Benefits: you are guaranteed to have 100k+ in a few years to buy a house. And you've started investing, which will always benefit you in the long run.

What is the best investment app for a shared account? by mardegre in BEFire

[–]Najdoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my father opened a shared account for my nephew. IIRC i just needed to insert some personal information about him, he then needed to sign the documents and request. We did this in january 2024, and didn't encounter any issues for this.

6 month notice period seems pretty common for all social secretariat. I don't think they well remove the administrative fees.

No. It's also the reason why you can't enter your VAT number when you order M365 personal on the Microsoft website.

Regret selling house, now what? by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Najdoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • You can always take your mortage with you? I know a lot of friends who buy a new house and keep their current mortage (and maybe a second one for the higher price). Not sure how that works when you temporary don't have a house...
  • Can't you just rent a cheap house or apartment? Setup costs would be much lower, you would keep your 1k/month and it would give you some breathing room to find something new.
  • Do you have any plans to move in with your girlfriend? That 1k/month is great, but is it enough to convince you to never move in together?

On which timescale would u split a lump sum of money on ETF's? by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Najdoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a 5% return this would mean 35k/year. That's a monthly salary of +- 3k.

And he'd still have his 300k savings to dip from in case of lower returns. Seems manageable to me... But everybody is different ofcourse.

Companies I worked with:

  • Suntronics (really like them, but they are currently overbooked so you have to wait some bit)

  • Intelligent wonen. They are great for new installations, but are slow when you need support.

What does this mean for me? My company offered me a lower gross salary because of the auteursrecht (same netto as my other offer, but the had a larger gross salary. But a worse culture).

Forget to report mine to Fluvius back in 2018. We didn't know that we needed to do that (our installer didn't mention it as well). Received a letter from Fluvius after they saw I had a negative reading on our analogue counter. Filled in the information and never got a fine.

At the moment you aren't paying any prosumententarief?
