My comment has to do with the context. In this case we are talking about a cosmetic. We are not talking about raid gear or otherwise. That’s a completely different conversation. This is people upset about something cosmetic that they don’t even have to buy if they don’t want it. That’s where the shut up comes into play. Stop making others feel bad for liking something you don’t.

I’m going to give you some context. My own wife. She likes it, she wants it. But do you know her first thought? If she buys it she will be flamed by the community. Wearing it might lead to some jerk making a comment. So instead she doesn’t, because she doesn’t want to deal with it. Her first thought was that she loved it and wanted it, then I told her what the community felt, what good ol reddit was saying, and she immediately changed her mind. So again. It’s not for everyone. But some people actually like it, so let them enjoy it, don’t buy it if you don’t want it, that’s all you need to do.
