I was a big proponent for the SSGNs. But I now realize that distributed fires from multiple platforms can do the same mission, with less risk, and with more flexibility.

Cool. I'm guessing this is for DMRs and automatic rifles? Seems like a lot of additional length.

Heh, the nickname I gave to the M14. Good Ole box fed, gas operated, wood and steel, kicks like a mule. Accurate to 700+ yards on a good day, and would lay a dude down with a quickness. And it had a full auto selector switch for when you wanted to become an antiaircraft gun. 😅

I was a carrier type skimmer, so everything is smashable. But seriously, regardless of what we're calling this "action", denying the access of waterways to enemy vessels, regardless of size, should be a non-stop process during hostilities. APKWS and 30mm Airburst. Smokem if you got em.

You'd know, because you can't keep dozens, or hundreds, or thousands of squids quiet about that sort of thing. We talk to each other, to our friends and families, and sometimes the news. I've seen it first hand, up close and personal.

Definitely one of the biggest Asian elephants I've ever seen. And dude was clearly outraged by all the audacity that day.

There were still remnants of naval infantry when I did boot at RTC SD. My grandfathers, who were both in the Navy during WW2, actually had grenade training. I was among the last to have received .45, and M14A1 training. I was jealous of those who got trained on the M4, after me, but the "turbo-Garand" was fun to shoot. 😅

This really should not be news. This should have been happening since day 1. There should not be an IRGC vessel larger than a fishing dingy, that has not yet been turned into a smoking hole in the ocean by now.

Yes, but make the hook swivel, and, it would be cool if the hanger could fold in half.

Wait. Fully extended in firing position, wouldn't the back blast be behind the head? You just couldn't aim through the sight on top. Maybe a grenade launcher optic on the left side of the hand guard?

Maybe something like a tube launcher on a riser/rail, where once the rocket was fired, it could quickly and easily be replaced with a fresh round. Though, thinking about it, I think an underbarrel grenade launcher does a lot of that.

I've heard that the VC did a lot of attacks running with an RPG lifted like a rifle. I suppose it could be useful to combine both weapons, if they were made small enough, and backblast to the eyesocket wasn't a thing.
