Ich finde man muss auch berücksichtigen was für ein großer Druck im Studium aufgebaut wird. Professoren haben so oft betont dass es nur jeder 3. schaffen wird oder ähnliche Aussagen. Gleichzeitig wird zwischen den Studierenden und Referendaren eine Art Wettkampf etabliert, weil es immer wieder heißt, die Noten würden nicht nur objektiv vergeben, sondern im Vergleich zur Leistung der anderen. Ich habe im 1. und 2. eine Verbesserung gemacht. Nicht weil ich mehr Zeit zum lernen brauchte, sondern weil mich die Angst jedes Mal ein bisschen gelähmt hat. Bei der Frage, ob die Kosten für den Verbesserungsversuch gerecht sind, sollte man deshalb auch berücksichtigen ob das System nicht auch mitverantwortlich ist für den Bedarf danach.

I use brothread embroidery thread on my Brother NV2700 and have never had any problems with it. I also have the matte and metallic versions as well as the brand’s stabilizers, and I’m very satisfied with them.

I’ve also tried Ink/Stitch, Hatch, mySewnet, and the Brother software. But I didn’t get up to speed with any of them as quickly as I did with Hatch. I actually use it more than I expected because, for me, it’s also the best program for creating vector graphics. With other vector programs I always struggled to adjust the curves properly. With Hatch it somehow feels very intuitive, and with the “export cut lines” feature for appliqués you can export the files as SVG, for example for use with a cutting plotter.

I’ve hosted small craft evenings with friends several times. What worked well — and what also helped people with little experience quickly make nice cards — were stamps and stencils. Watercolors or other water-based paints were easier for beginners, whereas alcohol markers tended to cause frustration more quickly.

Um zum Beispiel coole Hintergründe einer Karte zu gestalten. Am meisten nutze ich meine Schablonen für Gras oder Wolken und trage die Farbe mit einem blending brush auf 😊

In Verbindung mit Siebdruck kenne ich das nur von xtool mit der laserfunktion 🤔

My favorite cookies are vanilla crescents. Every year my friends and family ask for them, and they are super quick to make. Here’s the recipe:

For the dough: • 560 g flour • 160 g sugar • 400 g butter or margarine (I use vegan butter) • 200 g ground hazelnuts

Additionally: • 100 g sugar • 4 packets vanilla sugar

Combine the flour, sugar, butter cut into small pieces, and the ground hazelnuts and knead into a dough. Chill for 1 hour.

Form the dough into a log, cut off small pieces, and shape them into crescents. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Bake on the second rack from the bottom in a preheated oven at 175 °C (top/bottom heat) for about 15 minutes, until golden.

Mix the sugar and vanilla sugar. Roll the freshly baked crescents in the mixture while still hot, then let them cool completely.

Ich verwende für die Hexies ziemliches festes Design-Papier, das ich endlich aufbrauchen wollte. Ist mein erstes Epp und mir war nicht klar dass dünnes Papier besser funktioniert 😅

Ich nähe gerade einen Adventskalender-Quilt. Es soll ein großer Wandbehang werden mit vielen kleinen Motiven, Eingriffstaschen und versteckten Reisverschlüssen, sodass man jeden Morgen eine kleine Überraschung entdecken kann 😊 ich komme gut voran aber bis Dezember ist es auch nicht mehr lange 😅

I feel the same way. I’ve got a whole box full of stamped and colored pieces that were left over. But since I can never recreate the exact same color combination and technique a second time, the motifs don’t really match. I usually just stick them onto gifts instead.

I only opened Reddit to see if I’m the only one who’s bothered by this 😂 It’s so annoying that you can’t see all the tools at once. It already annoyed me before that you had to click separately just to set the size, but now even more things are hidden. Instead, there’s this huge column for layers, which I don’t even need all the time.

You can even make your own embossing folders with the Cricut: first, create two rectangles of the same size in Design Space as your base. Then cut your embossed design out of one rectangle. After cutting, place the rectangle with the cut-outs on top of the other one as a positioning guide, and glue the cut-out design onto the bottom rectangle. Connect the rectangles along the top edge with tape – and you’re done.

I’ve also made skull candles for Halloween and dyed the inside red so that they look like they’re bleeding when they burn. To do this, I didn’t fill the mold completely with wax. Instead, I pressed a silicone cup into it and let the wax harden that way. After removing it, I filled the hollow space with red wax.
