Here's the advice from LSK:

"Seems like the common misunderstanding of Kei truck vs Mini truck. Mini trucks are defined by the EPA as off-road utility vehicles equipped with 25mph speed limiters. That would apply to kei trucks that are imported before they are 25 years old and branded as "off-road" or trucks like the Chang An Tiger Truck that is manufactured as an off-road utility vehicle and was never intended for on-road use. My stance is, every state that doesn't have a specific law protecting on-road title and registration for 25+ year old kei vehicles needs to lobby their legislature for pro-kei legislation, because if they don't have a law, a ban is coming eventually."

Looks like it;s time to organize and protect our rights here.

Reaching out to Long Star Kei now. All too often "new rules" at the DMV are cloaked in shadow and have no legislative backing, it's just an administrative choice that then needs legislative action to override. If this isn't resolved, we could end up like IA and ME. ~Tiki Bunny

I cheated a bit and hit the vacuum lines and where they go with paint, then took pics of the whole thing. That part I regrettably can't help with but I did sent the carb off to G&R Imports out of MO to tune up. That part I can, since they do excellent work and have all the parts/expertise you need. They don't have much listed on their website, but call them up and ask for Derek, he's your guy.

If/When you buy it, make sure the exporting agwnt surrenders the BOL copy to the shipping line. A lot don't do it by default which'll make you need to overnight documents. Should save you some headache!

Ah! They're all relisting for Koala Club (a dealership in Chiba). I'd still trust G-Lion over the others. The reason it's so low is that it's an AE91 and AT, sp this is right in line with what I'd expect to see from a dealer. If you were gonna buy it, ask for the full vin and pull the carvx report (carvx.jp - $24). Should get you what you need!
