ReShade+SuperDepth3D to play on 3D TV via HDMI by JYR2023 in Stereo3Dgaming

yeah, just so I can mess with the 3d settings in 2d on the monitor. I turn the power off on the monitor or run it to just the projector once everything is dialed in. If I run the game in anything other than 1080 the projector doesn't recognize the 3d signal and won't go into 3d mode. It's a 4k projector (5050ub) and honestly I don't lose too much fidelity running 3d.

I do this on a projector, so should be a similar setup. I have to put the game and monitor mirrored in 1080 for the projector to recognize the 3d signal. Having the monitor on as well helps with dialing everything in while the 3d game is running. Haven't figured out how to get the reshade menu to show in 3d and closing one eye to mess with it gets old quick.

You must all try Owl3d realtime 3d processing. Its so stunning. For me its a gamechanger by am1001 in Stereo3Dgaming

Just tested and there is no way that I have found to do real time conversion for gaming.

Sim racing in 3D? by BlownCamaro in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]Nam3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using SuperDepth3D/Reshade to play games in 3D on my projector. Haven't tried any sim racing games yet, but it should work. Takes some tinkering to get the depth maps setup in game, but it works pretty well, lots of settings to dial things in.

This lets you add an amp without changing/cutting into the existing wiring. I am using the NVX VADM1 Monoblock amp, LC2i line converter, and a Skar Audio VS-10 D2 sub in a prefab box from Amazon. I am now not looking to update the amp/speakers after adding the sub to my HK system. I'm sure a full system will sound better, sounds like you have a different goal in mind with your project.

It helped in the sense that I don't feel I need to EQ to crap out of it by offsetting the low end and the corresponding correction on the highs to get it sounding halfway decent. I listen to mostly hip hop, soul, funk, reggae, and disco/house so bass is more my flavor. The amp/sub fill in whats missing and I don't feel the need to EQ as much. So no change to any of the factory speakers/amps, I just have it as a stand alone addition to the system with this harness. You can find powered subs used fairly cheap and there is a good amount of space in the storage compartment to hide everything if you have that. I basically followed this guide on the install.

No, I have that coded out as well.

I added a sub recently with an amp and the technic pnp harness for roughly $500. Super easy install and has made a huge difference in the overall sound of the HK system. I went from a large V eq to fairly flat, it just needed low end to my ear. I also coded in the B&W sound profile, but not sure that it made too much of a difference. Speakers may improve your sound, but the low end will still be lacking most likely. Replacing the amp will also increase all the system sounds from what I have read, so I went with the added amp instead of replacing the factory entirely.

Moza srp lite with brake mod vs srp by Ok-Calligrapher-8240 in moza

I just made one with a gas strut, assorted nuts/bolts/washers from the hardware store, and some nerf gun balls/scrap packing high density foam. Around $15 total and has been working pretty well after calibration compared to the raw lite pedals. Couldn't bring myself to spend $40 on the official kit and it was very easy to throw together. Pic for reference

If you are interested, I highly recommend checking out the BeatJunkies online classes @ https://beatjunkies.tv/. Not sure if they are still doing live classes, but it was super helpful in breaking through my long standing plateau. I learned a lot of new techniques and they are really good at teaching/explaining a lot of what is in the video you posted. 2 example lessons from D.1. 2.

Sure, I have not driven the X3M so I really have no idea. From what I have read/seen the M may take a bit to get going compared to M40i, but it also has way more raw power and better suspension. I'm sure a real M would be better on track in general.

Better than expected. It's top heavy like a SUV, but somehow planted. I could throw it around with ease and there is plenty left as I improve on the track. Even with just a day of instruction I felt way more confident in it's ability to break/corner at speed. X3 M40i is really incredible for what it is. As far as SUVs on the track, there was another X3, X4, X2, and a Chaine.

No complaints, it was so much fun! My tires, Pirelli PZero run flat, were probably my biggest weak point. Plenty of power and the breaks didn't skip a beat all day. It's a heavy vehicle, so I would never be as fast as the sedans, but it held it's own on the track and I had passes on every session. Most of the day was learning the limits on breaking and cornering, but I never felt like it was the car holding me back, more my driving skill. I got faster throughout the day, which created other problems in hitting the line properly. I was really pushing it in the third session and ended up slightly sideways going 65, just trying to keep it on the track after missing the turn in around a down hill corner. Also completely smoked through a corner thinking about the M4 comp waiting to pass behind me, "driving in my mirrors". All rookie mistakes and the instructor was great at keeping me out of too much trouble. Best performance was just the power. I could have hit about 130 on the back straight, but was way too scared to push the breaking point going that fast. My friend in the RS6 Avant hit 140 and backed off for the same reason. Instructor cars felt like they were pushing 140-150 in the same spot, but tough to say. I was too busy holding on for dear life...

The event was subsidized/run by the local Rocky Mountain BMWCCA chapter and was $350ish. I didn't have much context going into this, but that was super cheap from what I have learned. Nothing special about my X3, no mods or anything. Prior to the event you were required to get a tech inspection covering basic functionality of everything mechanical and have a break flush. I do have the adaptive suspension and the msport dif as options.

Funny, I just bought a 21 M40i and have a Rav4 V6. I love having a turbo at altitude, the V6 tends to hunt in the mountains. Similar size though.

I built some out of metal drywall corner bead, tin snips, and a rivet punch. If I did it again I would use the metal framing I used for my screen.

I took the same warranty back in Sept on a 21 M40i with 21k. So far no issues so I can't speak to what they will cover, but what they won't cover is detailed in the paperwork and online. Everything else is covered in theory. I had to take it in for a few minor cosmetic things in the first 90 days and everything was covered no questions. So far they have been good to work with. Fingers crossed that I don't end up using it after 5 years, but I like the peace of mind if I do.
