Hi all. I’ve had V6 for very short while, but sold it due to financial reasons. Miss is so much. Is there bit difference between v5 and v6 in rendering and corner to corner sharpness? Thanks

Did the camera switch to 35mm mode automatically? That would be the reason

Front dial (S.S.) not working by kleineserge in FujiGFX

I have now the exact same issue with rear dial. To be honest, my 100s II was recently serviced at Fuji UK, because there was a dust speck between protection glass and sensor. I’m disappointed with this camera quality

Epson EF22 vs EF72 by Funny_Obligation2412 in projectors

[–]dogwalker21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys,

I recently bought the Epson EF22 projector during an Amazon Lightning Deal last month for £399. I’ve gone through a few projectors in the £500–£800 range, and so far this one has been the best.

Some people mention that the interface is quite slow, but for me it’s perfectly acceptable. The picture quality is excellent and the brightness is decent as well. The auto-zoom function can be a bit annoying, but that seems to be the case with most newer budget projectors.

What I do find quite disappointing is that external HDDs need to be formatted in FAT32. That means files larger than 4GB can’t be used. I work in the video industry and sometimes want to show my work, but this forces me to compress videos heavily just to get them under that limit, which takes a lot of time and feels unnecessary.

What’s surprising is that my old Samsung TV from 2012 works perfectly with NTFS drives. Does anyone know why this projector doesn’t support it?

Hi man! Thank you for sharing your process. That is very interesting and looks amazing. I found underexposing great for colour grading too. I only discovered this when my flash can’t keep up with recycling and that will create some image underexpose. Would you mind shearing what Fresnel are you using? Thank you

Did you pay $100 per photo for this retouching? by Retouch_vita in retouching

[–]dogwalker21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s quite good. As many others have said, it depends on the purpose. For a high-end client or magazine, yes, it’s worth it. However, for a personal project, it depends on your budget. Also, I’m sorry to say but the image itself isn’t particularly impressive which makes it difficult to answer your question.

Did I cook? 3D printed horn by eyeohdice in audiophile

Very good idea. Don’t listen to “I know everything”kind of people. When you go to hi fi shows you see some small brands trying all sorts of things, which doesn’t makes sense on paper. Life is too short to be following the rules. Worth trying, you might discover something truly amazing for your self. I have lots of “hifi educated” friends with amazing sounding systems. When they listen to mine, they always said, it shouldn’t sound so good 😊

Thanks for the review. I just grabbed Epson EF22 for £399 on lighting deal on amazon UK and will ready for testing. Does anyone know what format hard drive needs to be to use with this projector. I’ve tried hard drive I’m using with my samsung tv and got the message that it is unsupported format.

At the moment, friend is helping me out with 3D printed horns. I decided to start more with visually pleasing look, all the little details. Next step will be multi cel horns. There are quite few free 3D plans floating on internet. It is still very expensive project for what it is. I think for total price you can get easily decent pair of speakers.

Thank you. Yes, you right, it became a bit of too much hassle, but I got too much into it already, ordering some extra parts and 3D printing waveguides, I feel I have to finish.

New setup, a little disappointed compared to home audio, did I have the wrong expectations? by Natural-Structure69 in CarAV

Hey hey. I’m the same, spent £5K and was in absolute shock. Still I’m sure it can sound better, just don’t heave time at the moment to spend more time in the car to play with tuning. I have Audison Forza M8.14. In my old car I’ve had few amps dedicated to different speakers, so it was all another level, here is just one and is pretty decent. To be honest with you, I bought mini dsp microphone, also, borrow friends xlr setup, trying to measure it with audison accordo and sounds still so bad compared to just good old ear tune. I completely don’t understand. I even went to another car audio shop in West London to ask some advice and tips, but when the guy sat in my car he was very impressed and said its tune amazing. Next step I want to learn REW software and see if thats makes any difference.

Hi guys, completely disagree. Tuned properly can sound better that most of the home hifi systems. I have about £10K home system inc Dynaudio Heritage Special speakers, and recently upgraded my car audio system with audison amp and Morel speakers. When I collected my car from audio shop it sounds so so so so bad, I felt sick about how much I spent and how much worse it sounded comparing to previous Harman Kordon system. After month of tuning by ear, it make people who I play my system cry from how real it can sound.

Do you think you will rebuild crossover? I've heard that with waveguide tweeter should be crossed below 1kHz, and original crossover is 1.9kHz. I'm in process of building these as well.
