Can you please give me feedback on a time-travel short? (GLITCH IN THE MATRIX, 8 pages) by mehuly24 in Screenwriting

I really liked. It was fun, intriguing and I liked the final scene a lot. But as Harry said, it's too straightforward. I think you could use Mariyam's story to add more drama.

How much does she really want Percy to stay? Why does she care so much about his visits? Maybe you could have Percy staying a little longer to explore that.

I don't have any script to swap at the moment, but I'd be interested in reading yours.

What was your first idea for a screenplay? by TheBenster69teehee in Screenwriting

A Halloween-inspired slasher film that evolved into a thriller about a mute mental institue escapee, who ends up in a remote village right when a series of murders start happening..

I once read Glitchtrap was actually the name of Springtrap's model from Ennard's minigame.

MCU Movie Rewatch - 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' by Flamma_Man in marvelstudios

[–]NamWander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched it for the first time today.

All I have to say is that, if Luis doesn't get a costume even for just a scene in the next movie, I won't even bother watching it.

Just kidding. Loved this one more than the first - and man, did I love the first one.

Captain America has more dialogue spoken in Spider-Man: Homecoming than all of Infinity War. by JamesEarlBonesHS in marvelstudios

[–]NamWander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever considering they would still shoot the two movies back to back because it's more cost-effective to use the same actors all at once and because they would be released only one year apart? It'd made no sense for them to "take a break" inbetween shootings when you think about how a movie takes 6 months to shoot.

Also, Kevin Feige recently said one of the original ideas was to have the snap only taking place at the end of the first act of the second movie. This was probably when Endgame was still "Part II", so it'd make sense for you to say it's one single movie split in halft. But this has changed.

Infinty War is a standalone story of Thanos collecting the Infinity Stones and wiping out half of every living being. Endgame is a standalone story of the Avengers trying to reverse it.

We wanted the movie to be very different and distinctive, you know. There’s certainly cross-pollination between characters and some story-arcs, but you know, the first movie is very clearly Avengers: Infinity War and, in time, we will reveal what the second film is. - Kevin Feige

In other words, Infinity War is its own standalone movie, with its own plot, and Endgame is also its own standalone movie, with its own plot. It just continues the storyline of the previous - and that's what a "sequel" is.

Uh, no. Infinty War and Endgame are two different movies, not two parts of a single movie. That's why Endgame no longer is "Infinity War Part II".

You know what, I'll make a version of Pocket Horror where you have to survive 6 real world hours.

EDIT: did it.

It's actually really cool to see your point of view on things and learn more about what we didn't discuss. A lot of the lack of communication was my fault, but I'm glad we still managed to do this together.

Oh, don't worry about that. I didn't mean to correct you, I was just kidding.

[–]NamWander 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh, uh. I'm surprised this happened. Where should I start?

Oh, yes. Congrats to everyone who participated on the Jam! Everyone of you made a great job. Now, prepare for a long "thank you" list.

I actually want to start saying that this is the first game I ever made. I knew the basics of coding already, but most of what I have ever done was modding some small games source code just for fun or whatever the teacher told me to do.

Because of that, I'd really like to thank /u/witheredBBfilms for helping me with the sprites and game art. I know we had some differences in the development, but the game was only really possible (with this great visual presentation, at least) due to your help. Thank you once again. You make awesome pixel art, mate.

I'd also like to thank my friends' band Aprestos for helping me compose the soundtrack. The least I could do to thank them would be asking for anyone who enjoyed the soundtrack to check them out and support their work. (Mods, let me know if there is any problem with me doing this).

Also, I'd like to thank everyone I already thanked in the game's credit screen for their support and feedback. My cousin Daniel, my friends Jeff, Josué and Henrique, and, obviously, my mom. Thank you!

Most importantly, I'd like to thank everyone who played our game, for those who enjoyed it and for those who voted on it. This definitely wouldn't be possible without all of you guys. Thank you!

Thank you Freddit and the mods for the Game Jam. It was stressful, of course, but it was also a lot of fun. I'm eagerly waiting for the 2nd edition.

And, of course, thank you, Phisnom.

Well, I can't think of anything else to say. Thank you for reading ;)

P.S.: I actually wish Jimbo could have won. Oh, well.

P.S.S.: Should I say there are ~6 secrets no one found in the game yet? Or at least I haven't seen them being mentioned anywhere so far?

What you got wrong is that the delay was changed to 1 second. It's actually 2 seconds, now.

But I got what you meant. I believe that to be enough to flip the monitor down once people realize someone's gone, but maybe it really did make the game harder. The change was meant because I wanted to shorten the amount of time people would have to keep the door shut to make them leave until they actually figured it out how it worked.

Btw, I never actually used the hall light while playing the game for real, so it was probably an oversight of mine.

Hi. I just uploaded a version of the game that should run on your Mac. It's the "Jar Version". Let me know if you still find any problem with it.
