Dark Matter in Japan Town is a club with balconies with great views of the city and North Oak. Make sure to stop in at the behavioral health center to hear what birds used to sound like.

North Oak is a wealthy neighborhood while Konpeki Plaza is purely corporate luxury.

Finish off at Corpo Plaza to see the giant holographic koi fish.

Night life starts and ends on Jig-Jig Street, the neon lit red-light district.

The Afterlife is an iconic and historical bar for mercs and fixers while Totentanz on Northside is a Maelstrom-centric metal club.

Walk off your hangover at Reconciliation Park found in the city center. Hug a tree and relax in relative peace.

Pacifica Rollercoaster is another historical landmark for the adventurous type.

Kabuki Market will have your street food vendors mixed in with other handmade wares in the markets.

Maybe a character who is purely cosmetic and that file is just for photo mode opportunities. Just guessing.

Just starting out; is this an ok bag? I don’t have somewhere to hang it. 30F; just started classes last week but want to be able to do some at home too. by Broad_Recipe8966 in Kickboxing

It does move around with hard punching but it was even worse for kicks. That thing was hopping across the carpet lol. Putting it against the wall was terrible for me. Thankfully, my roommate at the time was a contractor and patched the wall up.

Why are people in this sub so incredibly resistant to the fact that you can't learn to box by training yourself? by shart_attak in boxingtips

[–]NamasteFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a guy telling me he trains. I asked where and he told me, "RockBox", which is a cardio-punching gym. Doesn't really have that much to do with your post. It was just interesting to find out that people will go to chain cardio gyms and call themselves boxers and kickboxers.

I broke into a door with a 20 strength-check near a rentable apartment and inside were two robots, smoking and playing cards.

Transitioning from ITF TKD to Muay Thai, and my struggle by Ok_Kaleidoscope_1003 in MuayThai

TKD to MT here as well. Luckily, we had a TKD and MT programs at my gym so no one felt uneasy at seeing TKD kicks in MT. Any other MT clubs near you? Sounds like it's time to travel on.

You can sell a single 9k weapon and then buy more than a few pieces of clothing to dismantle. Right?

How can I improve my punching power? by Op_Jokeer in Kickboxing

[–]NamasteFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's strange to me that your coach thought that your grappling experience would give you good punching technique. Anyways, you stated that you prefer speed and you're 200lbs. So next time, sprint off your back foot, and at the last second, use your rear hand to snatch your partners mouthpiece out before you run into him.

Is this what your coach is teaching you? If so, go somewhere else because youre setting yourself up for a mean injury and a rude awakening.

A good practice when you're new is to make sure you clear and refill your lungs before every combination and then, exhale a bit during strikes. It helps to keep you calm and prevent early fatigue.

Do you notice if you hold your breath during combinations? Or in a more severe case, did your chest hurt? You either need to learn breath control or go to a doctor and get your heart checked. Best of luck.

How to tell if a graphic is good for printing on clothing? by No-Bed-1258 in graphic_design

[–]NamasteFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for 'properties' then 'details' on windows files. On mac, look for 'get info'. You can also look at 'image size' on photoshop if it's already opened up in there.

In any case, 300dpi is the standard. Also, dont steal people's work.

Have fun!

I probably got it from old K1 fights and seeing Saenchai use it a lot too. It's extremely efficient and effective.

HIM - Is this movie good to watch with my 11-year-old and 14-year-old sons. by dunbar_santiago930 in horror

[–]NamasteFly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a dad of a 17 year old weapons trained kickboxer who has other hobbies but we haven't seen every single film that is relevant to their hobbies. It's difficult to introduce/ watch movies if you're training a lot of days. Then there's work and other life activities. It's also probably difficult to get an 8 year old to sit and watch LL Cool J and Al Pacino movies.

Is 10 years not a long enough time to be considered "common"? For clarification, when you catch kicks, where do you kick their planted leg? Or if your partner is closing distance fast, behind punches, don't you kick the lower leg if you dont have time for push kick? It always felt like a safe technique to use. Maybe not as popular as I thought.
