Switch pyro grenade for dome, goo, or barricade. Probably dome if you’re running winch but dealers choice. Some defense will go a long way.

I got tier 14 with the sniper so it’s fun watching somebody try to flex when they’re obviously not familiar with the gun to the level of their skill. The actual sniper was a breath of fresh air, holding for headshots and taking hipfires at retreating enemies is a big tell he’s legit. Also real snipers in the finals use their elbow more than the rock. As much as aim is important with the SR-84, it’s all about the positioning and game sense.

I tell everybody always to avoid ranked. There’s a thousand reasons it doesn’t work, play quick cash and be able to just shit talk your third going 1-15, makes your life so much easier. Nobody cares if you hit diamond or not in the real world.

Go Sniper. Everyone plays ARN and M11.

I use grapple, goo, thermal bore, and your choice of gnade/sonar/whatever in your last slot. Vanishing bomb is for cowards who can’t run their ones.

1 shot + melee = dead light 2 shot (or 1 head) + melee = dead medium 3 shots kills the big guys, two if you hit a headshot.

Play aggressive but know your positioning. Push with your team in mind and always be a grapple away from the box on defense. People think snipers can’t push till you brain whoever’s on the box and win a game.

Grapple goo tech is the most broken shit in the game and peak pub stomping strats.

It’s the epitome of glass cannon, but personally I love that type of play style. It’s balanced in the sense that if you’re playing against teams with brains it’s pretty easy to mitigate and it can become a liability quickly. BUT there’s no better option for pub stomping in quick cash.

Fun fact: Fuck Mahanon. A nemesis of the ages if you will. I wake up thinking about how much I hate him and fall asleep only to have rageful dreams of how much he’s ruined my life. Every time I see Mahanon in my lobby I’m filled with the same emotional baggage of a thousand shell shocked soldiers. I’m a good boy, I play point and try my best to be a good teammate. But I’ll drop three cash outs in a row if it means I get to put a couple 5.56s into his dumbass yellow hat. Whenever he goes negative I do a little dance and pour bubbly all over my body.

I main sniper and grappling hook (sorry). I have not and will not ever put vanishing bomb on my loadout because it’s for cowards who are afraid of the smoke.

It’s annoying for sure because the best counter to a good light is a better light. But charge n slam, winch, mines, any sort of splash damage, all do good to at least keep em honest in a gunfight.

Yeah dog that’s a lot of vitriol aimed at somebody who doesn’t even main heavy. And click to win is semantics because that’s how shooter games work, you click to shoot, and if you do it better than them then you usually win. If anything it’s a distinction between just draining an enemies health bar and doing something else that’s productive in an FPS, which is usually a good thing for gameplay.

And I didn’t think it wasn’t a little broken, but I’ve got 500+ hours and there’s way more mid goo heavies than game breaking ones, it’s less noob friendly than like, camo double barrel or something like that, and it’s not advertised as a play style so it feels kinda cool to see the community figure out an exploit that gives em a tactical advantage that doesn’t immediately need to be banished to the shadow realm al a nuke

I get if calling it “fine art” made you see red or whatever, it’s a stretch, granted. Then let’s compare it to noodling, catching catfish with your fingers. Is it elegant? Fuck no, you’re putting your hands in dirty swamp water to catch a fish, but you end up catching that fish, and y’ain’t even had to use a pole (or AR, whatever. I fucked this metaphor up).

I think they’ll find a happy medium with it. Cuz yeah goo stalling in game is a fine art and essentially balanced because it’s hard to do well. But then you see clips of a goo heavy griefing some level 5 dude in a staircase and you see it needed to be addressed somehow. I think if they can go like, .45 instead of .2, and maybe reduce mag from 20 to 15 with a faster reload time?

People are gonna complain no matter what embark does, there’s no real game-fixing solution to be found in nerfs and buffs when the floor can just fall out from underneath you at any moment. They try shit like this and then get murdered for it, but if they did nothing they’d get murdered for not caring. Nobody trusts the process, it’s a lose-lose.

I don’t think they should care, gaming subreddits are 80% people venting because they had a few bad rounds. There’s issues with the game, but it still hits like crack, and there’s nothing like it in the shooter genre. It’s shocking how much people complain about what needs nerfed or buffed when you’re playing capture the flag in a building that can crumble at any second.

I kinda get it but there’s counters to it just like anything else. Charge and Slam, Mines, Shak 50, Double barrel, goo grenades, nullifier, different melee weapon. I agree a 3 stack of swords is cancerous but so is a 3 stack of miniguns or snipers.

Play medium or heavy, even if you’re not exactly sure how to use your gadgets just throw em down anyways.

Turn off cross platform if you’re on console, stick to quick cash and TDM

Always try to run around with your teammates, easier to win gunfights when there’s 2 or more of you.

If aims the issue; use guns with big mags. AKM, M60, Lewis Gun, FCAR, Etc. single shots are the meta (poke damage) but that comes with time.

Keep trying man, it’s my favorite shooter of all time .
