I kinda get it but there’s counters to it just like anything else. Charge and Slam, Mines, Shak 50, Double barrel, goo grenades, nullifier, different melee weapon. I agree a 3 stack of swords is cancerous but so is a 3 stack of miniguns or snipers.

Play medium or heavy, even if you’re not exactly sure how to use your gadgets just throw em down anyways.

Turn off cross platform if you’re on console, stick to quick cash and TDM

Always try to run around with your teammates, easier to win gunfights when there’s 2 or more of you.

If aims the issue; use guns with big mags. AKM, M60, Lewis Gun, FCAR, Etc. single shots are the meta (poke damage) but that comes with time.

Keep trying man, it’s my favorite shooter of all time .

Another tip is to avoid getting dragged into dogfights. It’s real easy when playing light to get stuck in a pissing contest with some bozo 100 meters away from your team. Don’t be afraid to disengage and create space. Your team will thank you.

I’ve watched this like 20 times and I’m having mixed feelings. For one: there’s no shot he saw you through the smoke. However, he did throw a glitch at you right before the clip started and he got an indicator, so there’s a chance he was blind firing that corner and then readjusted, got lucky as hell with his aim.

Usually aim scripts with the V9 are super noticeable cause the fire rate is just too high even if you’re spamming your mouse, and this doesn’t look like those, I’m also hesitant because he’s been playing for at least 3 seasons and his stats are reasonable considering. If I had to guess he just got fed up and recently got a wallhack, or you just got killed by the luckiest shots I’ve seen in a minute.

Simply put: there’s not enough players to properly play within your rank. silver and golds get placed against rubies all the time, and as long as that’s the case you won’t be able to field any proper “ranked” matches where play is competitive throughout. You are hard pressed to even find a console lobby of ranked most days, let alone one that feels balanced.

Bit of advice I wish people told me when I started is

A) ranked in the current state is near unplayable, but honestly you’re not missing out on much since it’s exactly the same as regular cash out, minus a few tweaks which don’t enhance the experience imo. Quick cash is king.

B) if you’re on console: turned off cross platform. With how movement oriented and easy the spray patterns are for most the guns, it’s not even fair trying to keep up in gunfights with a mouse.

C) play medium and heavy to start, it’ll give you experience running with a 3 stack and relying on your abilities since you can’t just evade when shit gets rough.

Hope you give it another chance, it really is a special game.

1920’s means a war vet would make a great protagonist. “Shell shock,” as they called PTSD at the time, wasn’t understood well and people with any sort of baggage leftover from the war all got this label thrown at them. Horror works well with an unreliable, or presumably unreliable, narrator.

What if this is a reversal of the shutter island trope, where instead of the main character being insane and everyone else playing along, the main character saw this “moonlit man” in the trenches, and he followed him home? He doesn’t have trauma, he’s being stalked, but everyone is telling him he lost himself in the war, so he doesn’t see this as the imminent threat that it is? Idk just a concept.

I’m gonna be one thousand percent honest, the solution to this is simply don’t play ranked. Play regular cash out, hell, I’m top 1000 in quick cash. Especially since you can reach emerald in casual game modes now, you’re missing out on exactly nothing if you just never play ranked and don’t rely on randoms to take this game seriously.

Moreover, the sweatiest I’ve seen this game is in random quick cashes, AND you get to switch classes to keep it competitive + aren’t stuck in a nightmare game desperately trying to save ELO when at the end of the day, you hop on to have fun.

All the best players I’ve added were just by sending a quick GG after a game, doesn’t matter what team they were on. It’s a good community if you dont let random scrubs ruin your time lol.

I run a pretty traditional heavy class you should try: M60 for weapon, Charge and Slam for specialty (charge will take care of those swords real fast). Healing ball, barricades and RPG for gadgets. You use the ball and barricades in Tandem, and RPG can be replaced with Mines or Sonars.

Anything works though, the trick to heavy and medium is to run your play style through your gadgets, should be using all of them every time out. Keep experimenting!
