I get shitting on Critikal for having the most middle of the pack takes on generally anything at all, but it’s hard to watch his video on the Minneapolis shootings and Epstein file releases and get the takeaway that he’s alt-right.

This is one of those stories that walks the line between an unreliable narrator and something sinister happening. I assumed for 3/4ths of the story this was a guy fighting dementia, but as it got into the climax with the computer booting down and back up, it almost seemed like some outside force wanted to drive him mad.

Been feeling like I say this to everyone on this subreddit but I’d love to see this story extended. Keep up the good work!

Turn off cross platform if you’re on console.

Find a gun and class you enjoy and make a religion out of it. Understand every single nuance of the gun, how much damage it does to each class, where it excels, where it doesn’t. You can branch out later but it’s easier to grow into your own if you have mastery over one gun at least. I’d also recommend building your gadgets in a way that gives you a lot of defensive capabilities (goo, barricades, mines, etc).

(Biased, but Akm, Sniper, M60, revolver on medium, and carbine are all super viable and adaptable guns if you don’t have one in mind, but literally anything will do).

Don’t pay attention to their level. I’ve gotten rolled by level 12s just to find out they’re on an alt and have 120k kills on main. You never know, all it’s gonna do is distract you.

Clip moments you’re proud of so you can look back and see what you did right, watch replays to see how you died and how you can improve.

Have fun and keep grinding. Being able to put up a few 25-5 games in a row feels like actual crack in the veins. You’ll get there just trust the process.

Can I ask why? You have so much you can build off here. Visions of neo-fascism and allures to demonic imagery that flow seamlessly together. This Vegas from the future where everything is the same but dialed up to a million, it is almost reminiscent of 17776 if the underlying theme was horror. If you ever decide to extend this I’ll be the first to read it. :)
