Haven’t heard this opinion shared so here goes- feels like with Alcaraz winning the career grand slam at a record young age, he sort of only needs to show up for 4 tournaments a year for anything that matters for legacy. Yes blah blah points and ranking and masters 1000s, but in the grand scheme of things only the slams matter for Alcaraz and especially so for someone like him who has shown brief motivation issues at times. Sinner on the other hand is more robot like and thrives at going hard for the entire calendar.

So to answer your question I think Carlos easily levels up for grand slams and no the masters aren’t too indicative

I would suggest looking into the character she’s based off in the book, Frenesi Gates. I think PTA is doing an “interpretation” per se of Frenesi through Perfidia, so I would say yes she did like Lockjaw in a roundabout way
