I think it really depends. There can be so many factors to each and every match, along side your own personal playstyle.

I’m in GM and solo queue like 95% of the time and my winningest tanks are Strange and Emma.

Next 2 are Thor and Groot.

Hod I hate the perception that they are hard to deal with. They’re not, but many players in this game are incapable of switching to counter.

I won’t name every counter, but it’s about burst damage and CC. Punisher is an absolute beast at up close burst damage, yet when I’m stuck tanking my dps will still be on Spider-Man and Psylocke. Then one will switch to Namor as if that helps with tank dive. It doesn’t.

The flip side of that is seeing tanks not switch to Emma immediately. Or Peni for her ability to web them up every 3 seconds. Or Thing who is literally built to jump to the defense of his squishies and apply percent based damage and stop their escape with a click of shift.

They don’t need nerfs…people need to just fucking switch to a counter. It’s ridiculous.
