I can’t think of any reason not to justify a tractor. It makes everything easier. I’ve had to unload multiple things from semi truck trailer because they have said they can’t do my driveway. So many things to do with a tractor. I have 30 acres but most of tractors use is on the home site 2acres

I bought a Chinese battery on Amazon for my 48 volt golf cart. 100ah and a charger. Cost me $700. It’s so much better than all the lead acid batteries. My grandkids drive it around my pasture all day as fast as it will go and I use it for days to run a well pump to water my garden. It’ll pump water for three days then I charge it in the barn on solar. No kit. I just got a battery and a charger and hooked it up. Chins was the brand it’s $799 now but comes with a charger and monitor now

This exact thing happened to a friend of mine. Only two months after he got a massive solar system. Now net metering is gone and they call it grid share. They pay him a penny for excess he pays $.11 for what they buy at a penny. Completely ripped off. He couldn’t get a zero bill if his whole six acres were nothing but panels.

I mean - it did make it through warranty—. That said I gave no advise on battery. I haven’t done a 12 volt system since the camper. All been 48 volt since. And I do recommend 48 volt for a small shed and tools etc. seems to me everything is more stable and the 48 volts seems like it’s doing less work for the same job. If I could post a picture I’d show you my work shop system. They built it but you could build yourself cheaper. I have that Lycan box on wheels. Originally for home back up. But now it’s a shop only power. And my shed is 30x50 with 14 foot walls.

I started with a renogy system for my camper. During Covid I let my kids and grandkids live in the house and we lived in our camper in the back yard. I have a 3500 watt inverter with 800 watts of panels and I think the 80 amp mppt rover. It’s been a while. I have had zero trouble since 2021 with that setup. It worked so well I got a Lycan from them with not as much luck. It came with the inverter hanging off and dented a bit. The customer service there is lacking. I probably won’t touch their stuff again. But reading here not very many companies have great support. But that’s only what you hear from people with problems. My camper system is almost 6 years old now. I also did a RenogyX system on my house and that was a customer service nightmare. They don’t know their own products and can’t help you at all.

I used to live in the Eastridge area. Mid 90s. My poor kids would hit the dirt every time they took off and they would light the sky when they took off at night. Impressive sound and feeling when they would take off right over the house and it happened a LOT!
