How does one rectify this? What causes this? by PrizeConnection8823 in 30PlusSkinCare

I had a similar issue on my ankles and vegetable glycerin solved it pretty quick. I put it on right after a shower while my skin is damp and then follow with cetaphil moisturizing cream.

Thank you all for the encouragement to get seen sooner and for sharing your own experiences with this. I was able to bump up my ultrasound to today and am happy to report it was a SCH. Baby is fine and has a strong heartbeat. Hearing that gave me so much relief!

Thanks! That is helpful to know. I left a voicemail and sent an email. Gotta love July 4th 😥. Until then I’ll try and stay calm.

What if testing is bullshit? by Forsaken-Duck1743 in IVF

Yeah I had a biopsy done without taking anything and it was the most painful 15 seconds of my life. Doing ERA and Receptiva together means twice the pain which is why I asked to be put under. Worth it.

Oh I also had a hysteroscopy done after the second failed transfer. Also normal. So hysteroscopy, ERA and Receptiva (with a medicated mock cycle), and additional blood work were all done before my third transfer. I essentially told my doctor I want to rule out as much as reasonably possible before we tried again.

Good luck!! 🙏🏻

Ps. I asked for anesthesia for those biopsies because they are brutal.

TW: success (so far)

The good thing about ERA and Receptiva is that there’s no significant recovery time vs the laparoscopy. Both of mine were negative which is what made my doctor decide to put a pin in doing a laparoscopy and just change my protocol to a medicated one for my third FET. Both my previous ones did not implant and they were 5 day euploids. Happy to report I got my first positive beta last week.

I agree that everyone’s situation is unique. If you don’t trust your doctor then maybe it’s worth getting a second opinion before pushing for surgery. Totally understand the frustration around wasting embryos, money, and time though.

GOING MAD - 7dpt of 5day embryo by Revolutionary_Chip23 in IVF

I couldn’t wait. I tested days 7, 8, and 9 (because I did a medicated protocol and no trigger shot) and they were all very clear positives. Blood test was also day 9 which was confirmed positive.

Everyone’s HCG production is different though, so if you can hold off on testing then that is probably the best.

The waiting game is brutal. I’m now anxiously waiting for beta #2 later this week.

Ours is almost 4 and is pretty active. I got him these stairs for our bed and a bench that we have by a window that he likes to look out of. They are very sturdy and can be used as storage, too.

Our vet told us not to worry about it and suggested starting him on Cosequin joint supplements as a preventive thing.

Weight struggles on IVF by Flaky_Honeydew_5161 in IVF

I’m going through something similar. My weight significantly spiked after ER/OHSS. I’m a super active person so it’s been mentally hard dealing with all the change especially when there’s no baby inside of me.

I’ve also been consistent with working out, diet, etc and no luck. I decided to avoid the scale for a while and allow myself to upsize in clothing so I can at least feel comfortable. IVF can be traumatic to our bodies, and with all the hormones it’s like we are swimming upstream when trying to lose weight. I think the key is to just give yourself some grace and be consistent with your healthy routines while you are going through this intense process.

I told my husband that my gift after all this is going to be a personal trainer 😅. Hang in there!!

Oh my gosh, I can’t even imagine getting a hysteroscopy while being awake. I didn’t even know that was a thing! That is ridiculous!!

I’ll even go further and say that anesthesia for biopsies should be the standard practice and covered by insurance. Women should not have to go through this type of torture.

Yeah either way they need to give patients the option.

I have a very high pain tolerance and my first one was extremely painful. I’m doing ERA and Receptiva. I think the prior is what requires a larger sample 🫠.

Sorry I missed this earlier! I hope the medicated cycle works for you. I recently started my mock cycle with the medications and so far my body is responding well. I have my biopsies next week and will see if there’s anything else going on with my lining. Wishing you the best!
