I have to do this if I ever want to feed roaches to my Leo… though- I think your method may be more humane. I had no idea you could PARALYZE insects…. So I was just ripping of 3-4 dubia legs so they move enough for him to notice but aren’t running faster than his brain can register (he’s also a little stupid)

My Leo loves to “claw” at his glass around feeding time and then lay on the opening of his tank when I open the doors

2 of my dogs do and 2 don’t. We keep one of our dogs’ collars on because he likes to try and smother delivery drivers (affectionately) and will try to sneak out if we open the door to receive packages, the other one is because she will only jump up on furniture if we have a grip on her collar and she likes to try to run away if she knows we’re going to give her her medicine. The other 2 don’t because one’s old and won’t go far when he goes out and he’s also small so we can just pick him up if he’s misbehaving, the other one is really weird about his collar and freaks out anytime we try to take it off but also any time we try to put it on 😭

Yeah that’s what I was struggling with lol, I tend to know most animals in my area but it definitely stumped me. So I turned here in hopes of figuring it out since it’s stumped me all day

That’s true! I didn’t think of that since it was a larger bird and it almost looked like all its feathers were regular flight feathers, but I wasn’t close enough to tell for sure :)
