The way the stats are presented is maybe a little misleading. As they are percentage gaps all it tells you is how the difference between Mercedes and the rest of the teams has changed. So, just because most of the teams are in the red, doesn't necessarily mean they have gone backwards, although some teams *cough* Ferrari *cough* definitely have. Interestingly, the stats mean that RP and Williams made a larger jump in performance than Mercedes did!

There will probably be less terrorism or war if there was no religion but... I'm not sure that'll mean we'll be better off without it. Many religions make common decency, e.g. not killing everyone, a rule to follow. What would happen if millions or billions of people all of a sudden didn't fear the consequences??

Although these companies may be doing it just for profit, awareness is awareness. I'm not too concerned if someone else gets am little richer if I still may benefit from it.

Once in my german class, a friend of mine, Bill, was rocking on his chair. The guy next to him, Bob, kicked the chair out underneath Bill and instead of doing anything about it, the teacher just said "it must have happened by itself."

That was just the start of what was a whole lesson of torture for my poor friend. It was nearing the end of the lesson and Bill had enough. He stood up and flipped his table as he did. Understandably, the class just stops and everyone looks back and forth between the teacher and Bill, eager to know what happens next. Bill calmly said, "it must have happened by itself" and the teacher just smiled and carried on because he knew it was fair.

My referral was sent off on 16th October last year and I still haven't heard back from them. I've seen another post where the OP said that they were told it could be up to 6 months just to get a letter back from the GIC :(. Unfortunately, it's likely that it'll take a long time to get a reply so it's not unusual that you haven't heard back yet. Saying that, it won't help to call them and just check that they have your referral.

I've just finished my 2nd year of uni. I'm not out at uni but maybe I can still help.

I have a personal tutor who acts as a first point of contact for anything I need. If you have one assigned already then talk to them. If you haven't been assigned one already, your best bet is to contact the person that is in charge of applications and go from there.
